The hisuian balls were the apricorn balls that started being made about 150 years ago he just showed the modern ones. This still goes with the timeline since the legends arceus games take place around the late 1800’s.

In the games, the first proto-Poké Ball was made in the times of Mystery Dungeon, predating even humans, though it wasn't actually used for catching, or recruiting as it was known back then, but was instead used as the first Pokédex, meaning that the first actual Poké Ball, in the sense that it was actually used for catching, wasn't created until 1925, when Professor Westwood invented the Poké Ball in Celadon University in Kanto.

The one that had 107 spirits in it reminds me of the Japanese Demon Stone, a rock that had a crack in it and allegedly held the spirit of the Nine-Tailed Fox, which famously broke apart a couple years ago. I’m not an expert on pokeballs but by irl holding a Ninetails had to surely be partial inspiration for the stone in Pokémon
