Very interesting! I like the way the first officer explained the instrument panel and the inspection by the captain of the outside of the plane. Nice job!

It’s a shame the crew didn’t talk about the unique handling characteristics of the MD11, the LSAS system which aids stability etc. Missed opportunity to gain more insight for viewers on this unique (controversial) and interesting machine.

So sad. These glorious workhorses of the sky are all but gone. Only a few DC-10s remain for fighting forrest fires and the U.S.Air Force is retiring their remaining KC-10s this summer so these widebody jets will cease to exist.

Fedex still have many MD11’s, and UPS as well.

@mauricio7501 not really. Do a search. UPS more than FedEx and it's not a large number. They're all being retired as there aren't any available parts. After Boeing bought out MD, they killed the parts chain for the 10 and 11. The last passenger 10 stopped flying last year. The cargo jets and Forrest Fire jets are all that's left. The U.S.Air Force has less than 10 left and they'll be retired by Sept.
