Want to know what Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East really think about the conflict? Ask a question and I will get answers.
People ask Israeli Jews, Arabs and Palestinians questions. I go out and ask random people to answer.

Because a very evil, mean boss screamed at all employees and NO ONE screams at me and plays cruel mind games. My blood pressure went up to 160/100 so I walked out. At 59 it would not have been easy to find a job. It could have taken a day, a month, 6 months a year...I had a mortgage and other expenses. I came back to the States three years ago, and found a great job immediately, in my field. The apartment I sold in Tel Aviv Florentin appreciated greatly and allowed me to purchase a beautiful place here cash. I have been back to Israel FIVE times in the last three years; I miss friends. Well now, Mr. Krokeman, I am 62 and can retire and will probably go back--without having to work. There are three reasons to leave Israel so they say: חתונה, לימודים, ופרנסה. Meaning marriage, studies, and sustenance I had to support myself.

The Palestinians killed more Israelis in total than Israel has ever killed any Palestinian, the Palestinian population has quantrippled since they became a group of people in the 60's from 900,00 to over 5.6 million today, that means they are growing at a high rate of 3%, thats not a Genocide... you're just a liar..

If that Irish was just a bit clever he would leave immediately for Ireland. Paid maternity leave, almost two months of paid vacation days per year, free healthcare, no guns, no mass shootings, not being afraid to get killed by a cop just because you ran a red light and the list goes on. Plus, you got it wrong. The Irish in California lives in the diaspora. In this case here Russia and Ukraine were the diaspora and Israel is home. The intricacies of the Jewish history are quite unique.

She's an Ashkenazi born in Russia and not a Russian. Corey is a Jew born in Ottawa and can communicate passively in French but it doesn't make him ethnically French Canadian. Same goes for these so called "Russians". So the terminology goes as follows; Russians (русские, russkiye), an ethnic group of the East Slavic peoples, primarily living in Russia and neighboring countries. Rossiyane (россияне), Russian language term for all citizens and people of Russia, regardless of ethnicity. These Ashkenazis are Rossiyane (россияне) and not Russians (русские, russkiye).

it is not "conceidered" Jewish. It is in fact Jewish. Ashkenazi Jewish tradtitonal dish. the name "Gefilte Fish", litterally means "Stuffed Fish" in Yiddish. Though Polish Jews just mince a fish and make fish cutlets. (that is probably what you eat.) Im not surprised you have no idea what is the meaning of the name.. you don`t even know it is a Jewish dish. and not somthing "jews eat to", The original traditional recepie uses two Carps, one - cleaned and finely minced. the second - cleaned and stuffed with the minced meat of the first one. than all of it boiled in water with vegies etc. and that is where the name of the dish comes from.

Esteban Aguilar Castro Yes and no, Esteban. When you are talking about the Sephardim nowadays, you are talking of 2 groups of Jews: 1. those whose ancestors were actually exiled from the Iberian peninsula, and 2. those whose ancestors already lived throughout the Middle East, North Africa, Ottoman lands when the expulsion occurred. The 2nd subgroup is referred to as Sephardic in the sense that they follow the religious rite, customs, and rulings of the rabbis from the 1st group. In a more "genetic" sense, they are usually referred to as "Mizrahi." So, Georgian Jews, Bukharian Jews, etc. are really Mizrahi, having little connection to the Iberian peninsula, but who follow the religious rites of the rabbis who were expelled from the peninsula.

I have an answer. Russian & Ukrainian non-Jews do not eat gefilte fish perse, as we do (especially on holidays). But they do have some version of ground fish aka “Фаршированная рыба”... just Bc it’s a poor persons meal. Though it isn’t like a national dish or very popular and widespread. I think maybe in areas with large historical Jewish populations you’d find more of that amongst non-Jews, in a place like Odessa for example.

Gefilte fish is a Jewish food. It is clearly associated with Jews in both Russia and Ukraine. As for "the 'Russian' music of the olden [1920] days," a lot of those composers and lyricists were actually Jews. For example, the song mentioned at about 10 mark, "Boi, ima" was in original "За окошком свету мало," music by Eduard Kolmanovsky, original lyrics by Konstantin Vanshenkin, both Jews. Much of the popular "Russian" or really Soviet music of the 20's-40's was created by Jews. Dunaevsky, Blanter, Pokrass, Basner, Frenkel... And, guess what, their music did contain Jewish folk elements.

@@snowcrow1178 firstly, if you dont believe in the bible, then its silly to say what God gave and didnt give because you dont even believe in God to begin with. unless youre a hindu or budhist with another god. secondly, it isnt only about what God gave and didnt give. theres historical and archaelogical evidence that the land was a complete Jewish land. thirdly, theres nothing like "real torah Jews". and i know the group youre refering to, theyre a minority, a small sect of people. what you dont even know is that group in its core actually believe in Israel, and some live in Israel and benefit from the state, their mission is to reduce anti semetism by pretending not to believe in Israel so they can deceive people like you into thinking, well not all jews believe in Israel. and theyre doing a great job at that. have you ever asked for a clear torah verse that says the land is not for the jews? i bet you havent. theyre really doing a great job. 😂. thirdly, in he torah when the land was given to us through moses it wasnt on a silver platter, we had to fight for it.

Can someone tell me what's Jewish stance regarding names? I've noticed that some Jews have names that belong to other nations and doesn't seem Jewish. Names like (for example) Maria, Yana, Joanna... And in Russia I've noticed that both Muslims and Jews have Russian names that are usually considered Christian. So does Judaism allow Jews to have non/Jewish names, or are all names allowed for them?
@YehudaLion
@YehudaLion 7 жыл бұрын
A Jew can have any name in theory but normally we take Hebrew names or the foreign adaptation of those names, depending on which country we're born and how connected we are to Jewish culture. For instance, Maria is the Latin form of Miriam (Hebrew) and Mariam (Arabic) whereas Joanna is the Latin/Germanic female form of Yohan (Hebrew). Those who are not so connected (normally secular Jews) are more open to the idea of adopting foreign names like Richard or Boris. In some cases, it's also a way of making your Jewish identity less noticed (which may be necessary in certain countries or during certain history periods).

Who said he is indigenous? Anyway, on what basis do you claim that he's not indigenous just looking by his physical look? Jews have had admixture with Europeans both inside and outside Israel since ancient times. The first Europeans to become mixed with Jews and other Israelites were the ancient Philistines, a people of Southern European origins from the Balkans and very likely linked to ancient Pelasgians and the region of Pelaeste. The majority of genetic studies have also shown that most Ashkenazic Jews have mixed origins, with 75%-80% having ancient Israelite male ancestry and 65%-80% having European female ancestry, which basically means they're both indigenous to Israel and Europe. The way they look depends very much on the combination of genes. To prove my point, just check the CNN reporter Hala Gorani (Middle Eastern father and French mother) or fashion models Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid (Middle Eastern father and Dutch mother) and see how much ignorance your comment reveals. Also for your information, people of light skin, blue/green eyes and red/blonde hair have always existed in the Middle East. Take anti-Israel activist Ahed Tamimi as an example. I suggest you study this issue more deeply and stop confusing the indigenous people of the Levant, Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Caucasia and Iran (i.e., Israelites, Lebanese, Arameans, Kurds, Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians) with those of Arabia and North Africa (i.e., Yemenites, Omanites, Saudites, Egyptians, Lybians, Numidians and Mauretanians). The latter have had significant admixture with dark skinned Africans and proto-Australoids since ancient times and gradually conquered and settled in Mesopotamia and the Levant, having also become mixed with the respective indigenous populations. On the other hand, Jewish admixture with Europeans (mainly female converts) only increased the frequency of specific physical traits which are found more often among Europeans, hence part of them can be easily mistaken as being purely European. Notwithstanding, there are still many Ashkenazic Jews who have clear Middle Eastern physical traits.

These people are not Russian or Ukrainian or any other nationality/ethnicity ALL of them are Jews/Jewish. Religiously they could be atheist or orthodox or secular or traditional BUT still ALL of them are Jewish. It's the same thing when you call Mizrahim "Arab Jews" Mizrahim are Jews who they or their ancestors happened to have lived with Arabs/Muslims. The same thing could be said about all other Jewish communities (Ashkenazim, Sephardim, etc...) Enough of the separation and living in a lie. We are all Jews who happened to lived in various countries throughout the world. If we go even further back in our history we still link our roots to Israel and to 1 source. The reason we were separated in the first place was because of a lack of JEWISH unity. Long live Israel and long live the Jewish people!
