No words to express about this movie. Its a beautiful story painted in black and white ...as explicit as real life. Thampi Sir, how much ever i say that is less about you. There was no movie like this and there will not be another one to portrait in the real colours of human life and feelings. It is a totally different feeling in my mind after watching this, something very unique and sweet as well as sour...like the realities of life.It remains in the corner of my life like " Etho oro Swapnam".

Outstanding movie.. Story that revolves around real life characters.. Very different jayan 👍 Sheela, jagathi, all 👌 Sukumaran top above all. His character very realistic, he apologize to sheela, several times, and finally succeeds in getting back her.. This movie is a lesson for modern generation, Where the divorce is happening very frequently, without any serious reasons. After passing age of 50, we all needs someone's help in real life.

"Etho Oru Swapnam" , a story which is penned down in tears , and Director Shri. Sreekumaran Thampi presents it quite extraordinarily by adding ocean of tears to it , well enough to tear the hearts of viewers. A story in which we witness characters in the like of Divakaran Nair, V.V.Swamy, Janardhanan - Nair, Kausalya, Satyavati, Thara etc , as they all have to tell the same kind of stories , the story of lost love and sorrows , making viewers think for a while about the realities of life , the dark side of truth. A 40 year old movie , looking young ,coming alive here , touching the hearts , remains relevant even now , bringing viewers' hearts in their mouths. All characters as depicted by Mr. Thampi excels in the movie, there are no words to explain the manner in which the story is built- up and the castings and performances of every one , each one looked better than the other. Late Sukumaran and Sheela displays their class, they prove themselves as the golden assets of the Malayalam Film Industry with their great acting calibre. There are enough words to explain the manner in which Late Jayan, who gave life to V.V.Swamy , who is disheartened and dissilutioned and one who is a victim of circumstances , the role of which was handled extremely well by the late actor. Mr. Thampi in an interview came out of the real fact about Jayan's intention , as he was very particular about grabbing the role of V.V.Swamy , and Mr. Thampi by realizing the seriousness of the matter, readily offered the role of Swamy to Jayan , as it turned out to be a watershed in the acting career of Mr. Jayan, which saw Jayan turning out to be a character actor. Who can forget the songs of this movie , which was meticulously handled by the veteran Bengali Music Director late Shri. Salil Chowdhury , as he brought along with him some of the evergreen golden songs , and he in the company of all time great Yesudas and Sabita Chowdhury , presented before us those golden songs in their golden voice , with a golden look to it , by giving a glittering touch to it. Sripadam Vidarna, Poo Niranjal Poo Mudiyal, Poomanam Poothulanje, such songs brought to the fore the greatness of the most incomparable singer Yesudas , who presented those songs, may be much better than Salil Chowdhury thought of , mesmerizing the hearts and minds of listeners. A singer of the kind and calibre of Yesudas is born once in thousand years , whose voice itself has given the Malayalam cinema a variant look , catapulting the Industry to reach new heights. We should all thank God for giving birth to an unbelievable singer of the kind of Yesudas , that too in the most beautiful land on this earth - The mighty Kerala.
