This is one of a number of historical videos intended to illustrate the comparison made by a former Headmaster (and later Provost) of Eton College - Sir Eric Anderson - between his own institution and Kamuzu Academy, Malawi. In due course (1987) a BBC documentary popularised the name "The Eton of Africa", although Sir Eric's suggestion that Eton College should be known henceforth as "The Kamuzu of England" has yet to catch on. We see Eton College in 1967 (twelve years before Dr. H. Kamuzu Banda laid the foundation stone of Kamuzu Academy) and again in 1991 and 1995 (dates which bracket the fall of Dr. H. Kamuzu Banda from power in 1993) and finally in 2019 (when we follow a scholar's journey through Eton College).
