Celebrating Christmas with U/B instead of R/G? Inconceivable! An Etrata deck I saw uses superfriends, it forces opponent to either waste creatures trying to get rid of it (ended up not having blockers), or play defensive and watch PWs go ult.

I've been looking for a Dimir deck for awhile. It's a color combination I've never found a commander I liked enough to use. This may finally be the one. I like the interactions. At first I was like oh okay, gimmicky try to make people lose deck. The more you discussed the deck though, the more I liked it

My very first deck was a lot like this! Phage was my favorite because Vela of the Night Clad could give her intimidate. I have died a few times because of her but it was worth it.

Atemsis is even better than you think. Atemsis's ability triggers whenever she does damage to a player, not combat damage. So slapping something like Viridian Longbow or Psionic Gift on her works.

removal ON LEGS! 🤣 Also since I built a "what's yours is mine" deck that is a bit similar to this with a lot of combat damage, here's a surprising discovery : Sun Quan, Lord of Wu (4UU) - Creatures you control have horsemanship. (They can't be blocked except by creatures with horsemanship.) Does anyone in your playgroup run cards with horsemanship??? Cuz if not, all your creatures are now just unblockable 😆

I have never and probably will never, be okay with alternate win cons. You either reduce my life total to zero or Mill me until I lose because I can't draw. Anything else, isn't mtg. I could win all the time if I played with cards like mortal Kombat or laboratory maniac. Those cards aren't even in my collection because I don't like them lol

That's a fair position, but how do you feel about alternate lose conditions? I have to jump through several hoops per opponent. If it's a "minimum amount of work to accomplish" bar, this takes way more than combo! -and, as we say in the episode, this likely wins traditionally anyway. Etata is a bit of a smoke screen to draw out more removal.
