Etude 5 Op 35 No. 22 in Segovia's F.Sor studies required barre or bar chord in B minor. It is not easy for beginner. I would said it is Grade 3 ABRSM

Number 2 in C major is pretty easy. Mostly first position. It can be beautiful at a slow tempo. Warning: Do NOT listen to John Williams play it.

@@RodolfoSalmaso Rodolfo, Well, no. 1 is a beautiful piece and a good place to start. It's technically not too difficult to play and the tempo is slow; however, compositionally it's interesting music. Anyway try going through them all and see which ones are within your technical ability - then work on those.

I have a suggestion(s). I have struggled with tension in my playing as well, so I know how you feel. How do you learn and practice music? If you memorize a piece of music all at once, and then try to "practice" by playing the whole thing, or even if you play a section, you run the risk of overwhelming part(s) of your body and mind by trying to do to much at once. Your body and mind might not be able to keep up with the things you want them to do simultaneously or you might also be experiencing worry or negative thoughts about making mistakes before hand. All of this could result in excess tension. Here are some thoughts on practice, focus and tension. Ok First, I highly recommend you check out "The Natural Classical Guitar" by Lee F Ryan. This is a great book for learning how to be aware of and examine unhealthy physical and mental patterns you might be experiencing while trying to learn guitar and it is pretty comprehensive and interesting I think. I think you should start with stretching--which is something we need to be doing anyways to be healthy-- and then sitting in your practice chair and focus on posture all the while taking deep slow breaths to relax yourself further. When you find your posture, spend 5 minutes on deep slow breathing through your nose to relax your body and mind. Then, warm up slow and do very basic exercises of your choice. This could consist of placing a specific finger on a specific string accurately. Start with your "a" finger and place it gently on all the strings. one at a time. Take your time moving between the strings. This is more to feel the string and get your bearings on the instrument then it is about plucking or the sound of the instrument or anything like that. Its sensory development I guess you could say. Doing this simple exercise or something like it will help you focus and relax as you ease into your practice. It is tedious, but this kind of work has been very beneficial for me personally. Do this kind of warm up and exercise everyday. As you perform your exercises be aware of your concentration. watch your finger move and try to watch it and sense what it is doing IN YOUR MINDS EYE. Also, take some time to make a list of long term and shorter term goals preferably with a teacher. You should have a list of daily practice goals and plenty of basic VERY basic exercises(how basic depends on your level of ability of course). I would recommend experimenting with making your own exercises based on trail and error from attempting different exercises. In my mind very simple exercises are very effective because they allow you to concentrate on one thing at a time which is very good! Assimilate one thing and then pair it with another. Try this: set your metronome to 50 bpm in 4/4 time, place "pima" on any group of 4 strings on the guitar ie p on d string, "i" on g string, "m" on b string and "a" on high e string. hold hem in place VERY LIGHTLY. Pluck "p" once for very beat for one minute then repeat with the other fingers for one minute. Pay attention to the motion and feeling of playing. Next, play "P" for 4 beats only, and then move to the next finger. Repeat for 1-2 minutes. after this, try alternating 2 fingers, say "i' and "m" on their respective strings. Start with relatively small/accurate movements in your alternation and gradually move into a back and forth pendulum motion that is evenly swinging along. Don't jerk your fingers. Then try a rapid exchange in your alternation were your fingers alternate quickly. You will hold momentarily after each alternation movement because you are still playing at a slow tempo 50 bpm. It's a lot easier to h=show and do than it is to explain btw. All this is just to give an example of simple and effective exercises that help you concentrate and get into the zone everyday. If you couple this with thinking about relaxing and focusing BEFORE AND DURING your practice, I believe the results will manifest. After doing this for a couple minutes, try shifting your focus between the finger movements and how different parts of your body respond to what you are doing. For example, first start by checking in with your wrist and hand to make sure they are relaxed. If they are not, stop and relax them as soon as you notice tension, and resume when ready. Pay attention and relax as needed stopping if necessary. In general, many players I think focus too much on memorizing a piece and playing sections or the entire piece all the way through. This almost always leads to unawareness of things that are happening in your mind/body as you play as well as in the music itself. When learning or practice a piece, Its a great idea to look at tiny fragments up close ie play a measure--and an easy one at that--and repeat it a few time to get the feel for that specific part of the phrase. After your concerted effort to practice basic exercises slowly, this should be easier. Go into your practice with this mind set. Да, знаком. Сейчас у меня в голове всё по английски но русский был моим первым языком, потом выучила армянский... а русский остался в шестом классе 😔
