The XL6 is a premium version of Ertiga MPV with only a 6 seat configuration. It comes with a 1.5L K-series 4cyl petrol engine mated to either a 5 speed manual or 6 speed automatic gearbox.

Maruti & Toyota designers are on belief of cloning each other this can be their new found stratergy. KIA on the other hand is developing their stratergy differently. So the decession making is the real challenge. Budget Safety & built quality should be the priority. So Viprajesh bro, can you & your team make a thorough survey on which MPV would be ideal and practical and budget friendly. One good aspect is Wheel size and engine box is improved.

It's for the budget conscious: but even budget conscious will never go for 6 seater, they'll want a 7 seater. Just one look at Carens interior and this you'll fall for Carens. This is all dark theme and very basic 7" touchscreen system, 4 airbags and for me the lack of a second row bench meant that I didn't even have a look at the XL 6. Went for the Carens instead with all the thoughtful touches feature list, only thing the Carens misses out on is 360 deg camera. I was also looking at Ertiga, but knew my family wouldn't want an Ertiga.😁 though it's a sensible car and easy to live with.

But the Carens has known to have issues. XL6 since launch has mostly been fuss free for owners. You can see team bhp threads to get an idea. The captain seats are the selling point. You are simply not the target audience for this car. I loved the Carens diesel but picked this AT as it has those amazing seats and sweet TC

@@venukrithish007 Right said, I'm not the target audience, my family has new additions and wanted a 7 seater only. I was impressed by the interior space management of the Carens. Took delivery last Friday and fully satisfied including my family.

They should have offered a 7-seater option, but unfortunately, they didn't. As a result, many customers chose not to buy this car. Instead, a lot of my friends opted for Carens, Rumion, Ertiga, Alcazar, etc. In my opinion, the lack of a 7-seater option makes XL6 car a FAILURE.

Please don't buy middle seat separately and fix it because it's totally uncomfortable for long journey and also causing severe back pain for the middle seat passenger.

There is a set of people who prefer Cars like XL6 and XL6 is made for them. XL6 mainly focused on the captain seat segment and it's made like that. If your requirement is for a 7-seater car then it's your choice to select the car by any brand no one forces you to buy a particular brand. It is not about failure or success strategy, before launching a car each brand does a lot of R&D after that only a car is launched in the market. It's easy for us to say in a single comment whether the model is a failure or a success. FYI- XL7 which has 7 seater, but not yet launched in India, at present XL7 is available only in Indonesia.

U r wrong.... Ertiga is a 7 seated Xl6. And Xl6 is a 6 seated ertiga.. so Maruthi is making money through both segments.

Exter is better than XL6 but Exter is a 5-seater. If you want 7-seater, you can choose Ertiga, Rumion, Carens and Alcazar in the same price range.

Most comfortable suspension in this category is Marazzo. But please research and tell whether mahindra launching Diesel Automatic TC Marazzo sooner???? I wanted a Marazzo with AT. But not AMT Not petrol. Atleast iMT enough like Carens. Please any hope for this in near future???? Tell soon

Bro pls check. We have done reviews of all variants. The non hybrid versions are same Maruti 4 cyl engine. Only the Toyota sourced hybrid engine is 3 cyl

Have you ever traveled in an XL6? I traveled from Chennai to Kerala around 850 km with my aged parents and the comfort was extraordinary and we didn't feel any tired. XL6 has a good suspension and at the same time, driving patterns are also very important. Really XL6 is a very good car.
