I really don't like Terminator anymore. He's just a clickbaiter, doesn't really try the mods he promotes, and is FAR TOO SYNOPTIC regarding the mods he's been begged to promote. I never watch his crap anymore.

@@micahhurleyps8985 I don't usually critic other youtubers' work, but I personally don't like it either. I watched one vid and thought oh cool I might sub..then I watched a second, by the third I realized vids reminded me of paparazzi reports, sensational wording, titles and thumbnails. Have to give credit that those are done very well, but the content I don't like. Then again he has a ton of subs so the majority of ppl like it and happy for him to succeed, not my style though.

I gave PUA a try, but it's simply far too hardcore for me and it's still very bloated although I really appreciate your guide. I wish I could find something as Vanilla + as possible with the extra regions and historical flair. Seems like a fruitless endeavor. Anyways, I noticed that you have an excellent level of English but with a remarkably Spanish accent, lol. You wouldn't be from Spain, would you?

@@micahhurleyps8985 Hi Mica, yes I am Spanish you got me! haha I think PUA will still be for you tweaking the settings my friend, using the button that resets everything to vanilla. You can also lower the difficulty until you find what suits you, the battle difficulty you can change at any point, but campaign [the enemy AI recruiting units etc] can not. Maybe try Campaign on normal and battle difficulty adjust at any point in the game. Remember that the 'FOR xxx campaigns' are extremely difficult, so if you want to play as Spain but don't want to feel the pain, instead of selecting the 'Succession Campaign' or For Spain campaigns, just play 'For other' which is a standard setting and just chose Spain faction there...The campaigns and the big map are very cool and the units as well, I hope you find a balance that works for you. Hello friend, very good questions. First of all notice that on the launcher, left top corner there is selection in blue "buttons". I recommend you click in there, it will open a text file with a description of all the buttons in the launcher, very useful. Now I'll try to answer your questions; 1. You customize your game clicking the selections on the launcher, the game CLOSED, however, remember to launch STEAM before open the launcher, so mod can access the game files. 2. YES the launcher will keep your preferences made when you exit the game. So, next time you play, the same or a new different campaign, the preferences you made will still be active. Most of the options can be changed anytime, but other like VDM can not. That's why I recommend to check the buttons text file, will tell you which ones you can and can not change during a campaign. 3. To continue a saved campaign just select the same campaign on the launcher, then load your last save. Campaigns are divided in two groups, vanilla maps and extended maps. AND on the top right corner you have the option of VDM on or off. IF YOU PLAY with VDM, make sure to click on VDM CL for a campaign played on vanilla map, or click on VDM biM for the extended map, so the VDM script is active. Then launch the campaign and load your save. If you don't play with VDM you can ignore that. Very IMPORTANT is to load a save from the corresponding campaign. That's why on my video I mention is useful to write the saves with some hint, specially if you play several campaigns at the same time. If you try to load the wrong save the game will crash. So for example, I played the yellow roses pirates with vdm on the extended map. When I make a save I write let's say 'war with british' before going to diplo screen to declare war on them for example, then I will add something to remember and the save will look like this; Yellow roses pirates 1706 war with british VDM BIM so I know that the save corresponds to VDM on the big map. If I try to load this save on a campaign without VDM or in the vanilla map, the game will crash. I think it depends on the campaign you are playing and the difficulty settings, Very Hard campaign will boost that modifier I believe. You can try playing Spain in the 'For other' campaign, the 1703 and Spanish succession campaigns will be extremely hard to play as Spain. You have to think that PUA is made by hardcore ETW players, don't be ashamed to lower CAI to hard or even normal difficulty, or in the launcher chose the option to play with Vanilla AI, so it will be similar to other mods.

You probably played with other mods previously, check your scripts folder and delete [or cut and place somewhere else] the user script so it doesn't try to load files that are not there anymore. Where you able to start a campaign previously, or is it crashing at your first try to launch right after mod installation?

Hello my friend, there´s no way to see it unfortunately. Usually when it´s been a while and I´m not sure what I selected, I just click the red button to cancel and select my preference anew. You can do that for each option. The most important thing to load a save is that you select the proper map [vanilla or the large map] and vdm on/off, if those two are not the same when you try to load a save it will ctd. [And of course the campaign the save belongs to]. Most of the other options, sounds, forts, etc you can change at any time during a campaign, so you can always adjust as you please if you don't like how it's playing out.

Hello Rai, are you deep into your campaign? I know ETW has issues with Ottoman faction, sometimes Russia, that they move one unit a time and late in the campaign they can have hundreds....You can try turning off the 'show AI movements' or something similar, just click escape and gameplay settings and deselect the cpu movements or Ai movements [don't remember how they call it]. And then just be patient...I've seen youtubers cut the in-turn and say it took 40minutes! to complete...hope it helps, Cheers

Hello George, did you play any other mod before installing PUA? if so you might have some files in the scripts folder that conflict with PUA at launch. delete or cut them out to another folder, then launch PUA and see if it works. Otherwise there could be a missing step in the installation.

@gaminginadaydream I'd already installed the vanilla and had it unspoiled by other modds or patches. As for any missing steps during the installation, it's impossible cause I followed the installation guide to the letter...

Hello William, in the launcher before launching your campaign, click on VDM to enable it, then click on the map [standard or Large map], to enable the scripts, then LOOK carefully for a button 'English' [I think it's on the left side towards the bottom and in blue if I remember correctly], click on it, and last launch your campaign. Sometimes VDM will eventually start showing part of the messages in Russian again. Save your game and exit, click the english button again and launch back into the campaign and it will be fine again at least for a while. Hope it works for you, take care, Cheers

Hello friend, the mod I think supports 30units but you need to install a specific file. I haven't tried it myself, best is to check on the mod discord on the search tab type 30 or 40 units and sure someone has talked about that already. As far as I know you must have steam open, although you can be offline. When you open the launcher and start your campaign it will start the game from steam

I'm currently trying to find the answer to this question as well. From what I can gather, the only wat is to actually recode something to make the launcher go straight to your exe instead of going through steam first. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do that.

@@andrewtucker2782 did you guys check at the mod discord? it's very possible that someone already asked about it, go to the chat channel and type keywords like no steam etc and see if there is a conversation about it, or ask directly in the chat see if the developers can point out a way.
