Pretty sloppy, but it's a common question and there are no references to it. Hopefully I provide enough examples to give the general idea. Hopefully someone who spends more time on videos take this and condenses it.

Fun with Ducats and Extended Timeline are some of them, and thanks to you I'm playing as Icenia and managed to move my Capital to America before 400 AD. Now I can conquer the world. Boudica is proud.

Thanks for this, the best explanation I found so far for current version. One thing isn't exactly clear to me though. Currently I have my capital in the new world so no CN's are formed. When forming a new nation through decision (e.g. manchu) this forces my capital to Asia. When moving your capital back to new world on the same day you click this decision, would that mean CN forming is blocked? Thanks!
@lambdaxx12 жыл бұрын
yeah, CNs take one day to pop, so if you move cap back while paused, you're good.

Hi. I know it'll be pretty lucky if you see it, but my question is related to the video title. So I moved my capital to Australia and now it's almost the entire world is overseas for me. Why can't I culture convert asian provinces with -80% reduction as overseas. Wiki says that modifier applies to overseas provinces that follow the state main religion. I fulfill the conditions but nothing happens.
@lambdaxx13 жыл бұрын
the 80% multiplicative culture cost reduction that you're referencing has a very misleading/wrong tooltip. It applies to oversea provinces that have a core by a primitive nation. For example, if you conquer a Nahuatl nation (but don't full annex because that makes them no longer primitive since 1.30), you will get the 80% discount on the provinces that they have cores on. Basically, for the most part it's not useful.

I love the video and appreciate the info but I don't understand why you would want to do this. Do you do this so that CNs can't form by you? Or do you do this to directly own the entire new world? Or do you do this to trade company everything? Because I could only see this happening in my games if I was going for "true one tag" aka no colonial nations.
@lambdaxx12 жыл бұрын
yeah, it's generally solely for the sake of true one tag, or things that require true one tag like one culture. On 1.30 when CNs could be perma stuck on promote growth with its settlers, there was a case to true one tag for one faith too.

There are many reasons but it is most useful when you are playing russia. Russia has an idea that lets you colonize super fast without actually sending colonists to regions as long as those regions are connected to the capital by land.

Can i do this on 1.29.3 version? 3:20 And also do my capital need to be isolated from other countries' provinces or only mine?
@lambdaxx12 жыл бұрын
Sorry, forgot to respond. Not in general -- 1.29 also requires you to have 50%? (or majority? forgot) of your dev in continent X if you want to move your capital from some other continent Y to continent X, which makes moving to new world really hard esp. once you get some holdings in other continents. Isolated from just yours. That's why I'm feeding all the provinces that is adj. by land to my capital in the timestamp you linked so I can demonstrate the rule in action in a trivial way.

Btw can you trick the game to form colonial nations as natives somehow? Like Texas as Aztec
@lambdaxx13 жыл бұрын
to my knowledge CNs only form if all of the following: 1) you are not a former CN 2) you have not formed a colonial region nation (like Texas) 3) your capital is not in a colonial region So in the Aztec case, yes, if you move your capital to a non-colonial region, you will spawn a colonial nation with your colonial region provinces like Mexico
@alexanderabramov27193 жыл бұрын
@@lambdaxx1 oh I know, I once had both Americas as Aztec and then shifted my cap to Lisbon for the lolz and it all became colonies. I meant... can I be that Aztec with both Americas and then form Texas? Not have my colonial subject be released and form Texas but do it myself?
@lambdaxx13 жыл бұрын
@@alexanderabramov2719 Yes, that would work. The issue is it's quite hard to form Texas as a native american since it checks your tech group, so you need to switch tech groups first. One way would be switch using nomad tech. Another would be forming Rajputana, which would move your capital, so you need to instantly move it back to americas

@@alexanderabramov2719 though I _think_ (I don't have game files with me to check rn) hordes can't form new world nations like Texas. So you need to go horde -> reform to monarchy/republic via t5, which will finally give you chinese tech assuming you're nahuatl

hmm, it's hard for me to debug. Do you care to post this question + relevant screenshots of what you own and what you have stated in my discord?
Do you still need to de-state if you do the Bermuda method? I'm playing an extended timeline game as Rome and have cored and stated all of Europe, North Africa, and much of the Middle East. I just unlocked quest of the new world and want to clarify before colonial nations start forming. My capital is still in Rome and I haven't colonized anything outside of the old world. What should I do next to have my capital in the new world? Colonize until I get to Bermuda and then just make it my capital? No way it's that easy.

Bruh, he literally did so. PDX just went completely anal about capitals for some reason, which wouldn't be a problem if colonies actually converted culture again and now because you can trade company everything anyway. They only did it because people were using it to exploit trade companies.
