In this video titled EU4 A to Z - Can a PRIMITIVE NATION SURVIVE In The HRE I do a playthrough as Chimu in Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Chimu, and by using console commands I placed myself in The Holy Roman Empire or the HRE and tried to become a great power. So let's see if I managed to do it! how about doing something similar as the first nahuatl nation but staying nahuatl. You could overtake the territory of a big country like austria or bohemia to balance things a bit. The HRE seems like a great place to do the whole vassal stuff they need to do to reform their religion which would be your secondary goal, after surviving of course.

As Cilli, "Form" "Yugoslavia", so own everything that was a part of Yugoslavia + every province of Bulgarian culture. Secondary challenge: after accomplishing the primary goal, have all of your provinces be of primary or accepted culture

Cilli has an achievement for "Don't be Cilli" but it'd be far too easy to just form something nearby like Austria or whatever. Since I know just how much Red Hawk "loves" southeast Asia, go form Malaya. And obviously, Malaya is a super-rich trade node; when they're not in control of that node, Cilli is gonna be struggling financially... enough to get a bankruptcy.

As Cilli: - Form Two Sicilies - Release Sicily as a vassal - Colonize Rio Plate - Give all your provinces to your vassal - State your colony and move your capital there. - Form Chile - Conquer all spice provinces in the world

OMG this would be an amazing achievement to have in game! I also saw someone suggest in a comment for some video awhile back that there should be a Kingdom of Too Cilli one where you start as Cilli and form the Two Sicilies. Paradox really hasn't touched Cilli's potential.

Chimu's success in Europe of all places leaves me seething in such a way I could not hope to describe with words. Fun fact: The gold the Inca are so famous for, is actually Chimú and in general the civilizations that populated what is today the northern coast of Peru are the ones that developed gold and silversmithing the most. After the capital Chan Chan was conquered by the Inca, thousands of craftsman where forced to move to Cusco to embellish the city and the nobility. After the Spanish arrived, the peoples from coastal Peru where the ones that contributed the most troops to defeat the Inca.

Ye fog of war is weird for some reason its attached to tech group not where u are so if somehow u was a coptic horde in south America at the start kd the game when u flip out of being a horde and having nomadic tech group to another government type ur tech group changes to eastern revealing all of Europe and a lot of the middle east area

Tech groups are normally regional. If you start as custom Nation the tech group always reveal the original region even if you aren't there

This was an INGENIOUS method of switching things up for this A-Z campaign. I wouldn't mind seeing things like this in the future for some of the repetitive countries, things like simply placing them in another part of the world. There's a mod that places Japan right next to the UK lol, I think that one is fun.

I know that the longer you play, the longer it takes to make a video, and the slower the videos come out, but all the same: I would be interested to see you do something really off the wall like this without a console command. Maybe it can't be *quite* this crazy (logistically, with all the sailing/exploration that would be required), but perhaps something with a huge cultural mismatch, like taking one of the Asian Horde nations and putting them in charge of the HRE?
