The way he uses his voice as another instrument filling in and molding to the music is ethereal. They hit all spots in your mental and physical body it’s something to behold. There is no fill song to put in their album they are all just as potent as the last one. Love em and glad you feel the same.

This is beautifully transcendent. I cry every single time I listen to it from joy, a little sadness because it’s the end of something, and the nostalgic call backs. It’s amazing. I feel like this song is an epilogue for his fans.

I absolutely see what you mean about it being an epilogue. I’ve heard this song, the whole album, so many times but whenever I get to this song when I listen to it all again, I’m an emotional wreck. Even now, even after hearing it multiple times.

That moment of the first "the night belongs to you" with the crescendo of the music just makes me feel so... lite. I just feel a sense of relief, and my eyes just start to slowly flood. Then we get into the piano from The Night Does Not Belong to God, it's just so overwhelming, for some reason. This song is the PERFECT way to close this incredible album.

@@sapphiresstarlight I've been lucky enough to have been a fan since the first EPs and they've just grown and grown to the perfection they've achieved with TMBTE. I'd recommend seeing them live if you can - they're superb (obviously!) but they also bring such a diverse crowd, all utterly dedicated. They hit FAR deeper than any other band I've heard and I'm obsessed.

I've loved watching through your analyses, seeing someone else feeling these songs as deeply as I do is a wonderful thing and I am very appreciative that you shared this journey. I heard a very interesting take on the story in Euclid, and the trilogy overall. I think the channel was BreakingBeard who put me onto this interpretation. Being stuck in a cycle is a huge theme throughout their discography. Granite is the car crash, where he lost the person who was close to him and that person became Sleep to Vessel. The story is him wrestling with this obsession, unable to move on, stuck in this cycle of grief, until he and she becomes something other than human. Euclid is a point where Vessel almost splits in two, one fighting back and one still stuck. The "call me when..." Is the Vessel who is still stuck reaching for the new Vessel, pleading to not be forgotten. And it ends with one vessel basically sacrificing himself, staying in the cycle so another version of himself, or someone like him, can escape. I probably butchered the explanation, but it's an interesting take and worth diving into.

A quick recap of something that can only be explained by essays and essays of writing... TMBTE just breaks you down in atoms and, somehow, in the last few minutes with the song Euclid it helps you rearrange yourself, gives you hope, and makes you whole again. God, I'm thankful to be alive while they're making music.
@sapphiresstarlight

@@sapphiresstarlight It's like they're gifting beautiful agony to those who can hear it and try to help you get through all of it with a few minutes of audio. You know what's the most ironic part about This song is that it's actually not hopeful. The music at that one part is hopeful but listen to the lyrics. The song is more beautifully tragic then anything. Also, if you guys really wanna have a cry this song for me is an emotional letter to my daughter I have not seen in 4 years. She doesn't know the sacrifices that I made and the sword that I fell on in order to ensure that she has a good life.
@sapphiresstarlight

Musically, there are moments that just have that feeling of a surge of hope for me; but I can see how it’s beautifully tragic, absolutely. I’m sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope that when she’s old enough, she’ll understand and you’ll be able to reconcile.
@jcandnp
@jcandnp Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the pain you went through for your daughter, but I disagree about Euclid…I think it’s even more hopeful than most of us think. The callback to TNDNBTG is not a loop back to the beginning, it’s a reimagining of what the whole journey meant from the beginning, especially in light of 2 things…it STILL being the Autumn Leaves for him, and because the night belongs US (the fans) in this final analysis, and we are Vessel’s “symmetry” and “parallel”, his companions through this journey and tribulation. In this light, Euclid gives new meaning to it all.
