No, you can't play a continuous note, but set the Steps to the length you want a note, then set the Events to 1 and turn up the gate and the single note will sound for a complete revolution.

@@PaultheMusicMan interesting, thanks for the quick response. I’m not looking for a note for the entire revolution but instead to heave the same note play each time the beat tone plays. Eg 4/4 would be 4 instances of the same note per revolution instead of a combination of different notes within a chord as it currently is. Is this possible? If not in the next update would you be able to add a not option in addition to the current chord option within the menu?

@@gunterstunter I'm struggling to understand exactly what you are doing, but if both Steps and Events are set to 4, the band speed to 1x and global speed to 1x the specified Note/Velocity will sound every beat (with notes removed from editor). Are you attempting to use MIDI input to change the notes in the editor? If you just add a single note to the editor for Band A, it will be treated as a single note bass for instance which moves to the nearest note when chords are played. If you just want a single drone note, remove all editor notes and set the Note knob for that band.

The current version is 1.09 and available on the Apple App Store. This is an iOS app that should also work on M1 Macs.

No, not currently but I can see how that could be useful. Since Progressions runs small loops I usually lay notes and wait for the sequence to loop, then adjust accordingly. I will consider adding this in a future upgrade.

It may well work on the M1 Mac, but I've not tested it myself. It will not work on the old Intel Macs for sure.

As long as you have SONG enabled, and possibly Host Sync if running under another app, pressing play in the host transport should work so long as the song chain has entries. Did you resolve this issue?

@@PaultheMusicMan Thanks for replying. I figured it out eventually. The song sequencer only works if the events on a band have notes in the note editor. Also for drum patterns the notes in the note editor must match the midi CC of the drum part or else another drum part will be triggered or nothing will be triggered. I know you know this but I've included the solution for anyone else who didn't know what they were doing. 🙂

Yes of course, each band can have differing lengths, and you can have as many steps as you like. The link to David's paper is in the help manual. As far as I am concerned there is pretty much nothing that other Euclidean sequencers can do that are not possible on this app.

@@PaultheMusicMan Thanks for the answer. It's clear about different number of steps, speed and direction of rotation. My question was about the size, or length, rhythmic value of individual steps as I see their placement on the circle (which you call band?) is in regular distances. So we have always a regular minimalistic ostinato repetition of all notes as a result. Is is possible to set irregular placement, thus to get irregular rhythms where steps have different size, or some of them are even omitted? That would be less boring result. Concerning the sounds, is this just a sequencer which can control any software (or through MIDI also external hardware) synths or that one you used here is somehow fixed part of it?

@@danielforro4200 We are in PolyMeter and PolyTempo modes in this video, but pure Euclidean mode allows is to have irregular spaced steps. Ther are 4 modes altogether, and these notes can be turned ON/OFF at will.The whole idea of this program is to create sequences that output 4 channels of MIDI. These sequences can be joined to create a fill song if you wish. Please see all of my videos on this subject, this is a product that has evolved and so I'm only showing new additions here.

The app was designed to work with AUM, so I know it works just fine under this app as you can see in my videos. Please watch all my videos and you will see how it works, and how it is connected. I can't tell you how to use it with Korh Gadget as I don't own it and not sure it is even possible to load external AUv3's with it.

This is an iOS app that is available in the App Store.

I've been told it does work in Logic on the Mac, but not tested it myself.

@@cd78 Yes, but I designed it for iOS not for the Mac as I assumed you mean Logic on the Mac. I wouldn't advise trying to use it inside Logic for iPad as it is not really geared up for MIDI routing like AUM and some other iOS apps.
