I am from the UAE and I think that Siberian falcons are one of the best breeds of falcons in the world

А я читал книгу В. Орлова. "За соколом ясным, кречетом красным". И Ямал там был, и Путорана, и Камчатка. Браконьеры лютуют на севере. На продажу в ОАЭ и СА вывезли немало соколов в 90-е годы. Популяции подорвали. При царе Алексее Михайловиче за такое на кол сажали.

I found your book on Amazon a few weeks ago and today I was surfing for falcon videos and found your name! Beautiful video. Looks like Momma was napping after she got baby nice and full. The white Gyr looks almost ghostly when it glides.

Much the same as what I was thinking. Only in Siberia, Alaska, etc. do the flies attack everything. In this case the camera. I wonder just how we did not see a bunch of flies around the nest as those things are very dirty and fragrant.

"царской" да (по "Уряднику Сокольничьего Пути "), "священной" нет. В деталях это описал в свой книге "The Gyrfalcon" - на амазоне наверное еще есть, ну или в сети...
