For long, presenters in the US did not make an effort to pronounce Spanish names as they actually are but would do with French, German and others. Glad to see Jimmy doing it very well with EUGENIO DERBEZ (you can almost feel his effort there).

If I was in the audience and he started talking about how no one takes him serious, I would have shouted “QUE ALGUIEN ME EXPLIQUE!”

It makes me so happy to see Eugenio starting to be able to get more roles, he’s literally been in the industry for so long.

Eugenio is such a nice person, very down to earth. Saw him and his son in a trolley in Mammoth Lakes a few years ago and he was super nice to take a pic with us. He is such an amazing example of perseverance, discipline and talent. Very proud of him representing Mexicans in the U.S.

I saw the movie CODA and it’s a great film, probably the best movie of 2021 in my personal opinion. I thought it was gonna be a very serious movie but it has its funny moments too. The movie shows you what it’s like having your parents depend on you to communicate with other people and I can relate to that and so can many others who as kids of immigrants had to help their parents by translating

Ah he never fails to make me laugh😆 Even when I saw the preview for Coda I was just picturing that he's going to blast a joke any minute just because I got introduced to his acting as comedy😂 Despite that, I can still see his drama side very well. He does outstanding. Omg! I remember seeing him at Starbucks in Malibu few years ago but at first I wasn't sure it was him since it was my first time seeing him in person which thrilled me! Part of me said it is officially him and it was when the barista called 'Alex' and I remember his wife is named Alejandra and got called Alex for short and Eugenio looks no different in person so I defenitely can tell it was him. He had his cute pitbull with him too. I was hesitating to approach him and greet him and ask for autograph and picture but I also had fear of possibly bothering him and I also didn't want his wife to be jealous or get the wrong idea because I can tell Hispanics are most likely to get severely jealous and can cause trouble. Anyways, I recall Eugenio naturally looking at me for 3 or 4 seconds as I was sitting at my table while he was standing waiting for his order. When he exit Starbucks, I got up to get a closer look at him from the window to reassure it was him so I was convinced it was and then he looked up at me smiling almost like he knew what I was questioning and implying it was him😉 I am so happy we live nearby each other😃 He seems so cool and humble in real life just like I see him onscreen😊💖 Coda looks like a brilliant film!! I hope to catch free online in the future! For those Spanish speakers, wouldn't it be funny if someone asked Eugenio what the movie Coda is about and then he'd probably respond, " El titulo lo dicé todo. La pelicula se va atratar de una coda. Alguien quien no va ayudar a los probes todo porque ella es una coda" Sorry if my Spanish is horribly written😝
