I have read that nettles are high in minerals which is the reason for it's edgy taste. I find dry nettles for tea to be pleasant but I haven't yet harvested nettles myself. Last year I discovered a small patch growing on our new property. I look forward to establishing a deeper relationship with the nettles plant.

i find the best way to juice it is to blend a cup full of nettle with water, blend away... filter away the leaves afterward, use juice for shakes.. add banana and almonds is my fave! delish

Nettle tea is lovely. I grow it in my garden. I made nettle tea and drink it hot or cold.

I always enjoy boiling the nettle leaves to make nettle tea and extra green veg for dinner. I made a video on how I did this nearly 3 years ago, always a nice reminder of spring :) Thank you for sharing.

Hi guys cool videos.just subscribed.i am a herbalist myself .I harvest them cook em up .I hav a recipe so delicious.its a stinging nettle Soup .First I cut the plant off halfway then get a heap and put them in a saucepan with 1 litr of water .I add a weed called milk thistle the small variety ..it's a liver cleanser .I add bit of celery and a large chopped up carrot 1 bayleaf .i then add a big handful of chopped parsley ..One clove of garlic and 1 teaspoon of hot English mustard then let her boil with a lid on for 30_40 min .I strain the liquid nd seperate the liquid .I put the juice bak in saucepan and let it boil ..I add 1 tablespoon tumeric 1 teaspoon of saffron .pepper soysauce..1 tablespoon of vinegar ..5 drops of Tabasco hot sauce..hand full of chopped spring onions ..1 tablespoon of Hoi sin sauce ..1 tablespoon of oyster sauce .I get beeef pork mince roll Em Up into small balls like a marble and add them to boil up and cook.then at the end I put chopped up chicken from.a boiled chook and add it for a chicken flavour then I add two eggs and shut the lid turn heat off in 30 seconds.the eggs will be a ball and be soft inside so u can break the egg and the hot yolk will melt into the soup for amazing flavour.i get fresh Lebanese bread nd eat it with the soup.try this guys.its so amazing.im the king of soup making its my specialty .I might make a video soon show u heaps of recipes including stinging nettle pasta and gnochi with half potatoes half nettles and anothr is part sweet pumpkin half potatoe and the rest r nettles .homemade nettle pasta made from. Scratch is yummy.i forget one thing ..add fresh spinach leaves to the soup.aftr the leaves r all boiled keep them for later nd munch on them as a snack .

Aftr u make this soup u can fill up a cup when u feel like a drink to boost ur energy.helps my joints nd my blood pressure .sometimes I'll add bit of black tea or green.tea for a extra boost .A sage leaf and a fresh spearmint leaf or two and if u want add fresh grated ginger .these r amazing health tonics .hav a cup of this soup at night and at times u r feeling lethargic .I eat this soup with a toasted Italian bread .
