This short video explains how we developed our ECU remap for the S1000XR, this particular XR came in with an Akrapovic exhaust fitted 🏍🔊
We know there is room for improvement on these bikes and as soon as we strapped it to the dyno and did the standard runs, we knew what we had to do. After analysing all the data from the base runs we got to work 😎
The transformation goes as follows: We removed the throttle restrictions in 2nd and 3rd gear (which allows use of full throttle in both gears). The exhaust valves are now open and at part throttle there is a much smoother power delivery. We raised the RPM limit and removed the vibration at 5000rpm, torque limits were raised, and the ignition/spark is now optimised 😍
The stock bike made 155bhp on our dyno 😏 and with a fully custom BHP UK remap we gained an extra 12bhp 🤩😎
Now that is what you call a transformation 🤯
