Really struggling to decide whether to double triple up on teams or spread them out to cover as many teams as possible. Feel like putting all eggs in one basket like 4 England 4 Portugal etc is not a good idea

great video, I feel like it's best to go for only one attacking asset from England if you want to be absolutely safe. they look like a team that can only defend as there's a lot of attacking issues that Gareth Southgate seems inable to fix. My shout would be kane or saka, as foden might not even start and Bellingham seems out of sorts a triple england defence might be the best option to go with imo

I appreciate it. Kane is the standout England attacker but I have a feeling they could create multiple chances and score more goals in the Round of 16 + Quarter Finals. This is based on how England have performed in recent tournaments but their group stage performances have been lethargic and bereft of ideas/creativity.

Gakpo was impressive in the World Cup group stages and has experienced a good Euros tournament so far.

I decided to drop all my England players - Kane, Bellingham and Trent - I just don't trust them after their group performances and obviously Trent is now not starting. I hope we can grow into the KO stages now though. Shall have to see tomorrow. In the end I went with: GKS - U.Simon and D.Costa DEFS - Pepe, Mendes, Carvajal, Bastoni and Ake MIDS - Ruiz, Baumgartner, Musiala (C), Gundogan, Sabitzer FWDS - Mbappe, Gakpo and Morata. Regretting picking Bastoni now :D Will you be keeping Musiala as captain for the RD of 16 or switching to someone else? I captained him and think the 18 points he earned will be difficult to better, unless Ruiz or Morata run riot against Georgia but I'm not sure I want to take that gamble....

England have been underwhelming so far but their defensive numbers are among the best in this tournament. The plan is to stick with Musiala as my captain.

With this lineup, are you thinking about QF? Or are you just using WC in QF? Bc if so, the defense does look quite poor on MD5, no?

My current plan is to Wildcard in Matchday 5 which allows me to attack the Round of 16 fixtures. I’m also open to saving the Wildcard for the semi finals instead but it depends on how many eliminated players I have.

@@FPLDylan that makes sense yea, i was just curious on how you were going about it bc ofc mid and attack dont really suffer from being on the hard bracket of the tournament but CS is where it gets tough :)

I don’t trust Italy offensively and I think Switzerland vs Italy could go the distance in terms of extra time/penalties. Chiesa is probably the best of a bad bunch but Switzerland are well organised with that back three.

It's a solid 15 man squad, I would go for Stones over Walker but that's a small nitpick. You get 3 Free Transfers for Matchday 5, 4 Transfers for MD6 and 5 Transfers for MD7 so you will be fine so long as you can field a starting eleven without taking any hits.

I don't mind those picks. It's worth highlighting that Ronaldo hasn't scored an open play goal in a major international tournament since the 2018 World Cup (10 matches). Gakpo looks like the best Netherlands attacker and has been very sharp so far.

@@FPLDylan Dropping CR7 for Gakpo will leave me with a lot to spend on the midfield, and as you highlighted in the vid I'm not so sure about Belli, specially with Southgate football, KDB is an option but again a really tough game against a solid France defence

He scored his first international goal vs Germany and caused all sorts of problems. It’s a good shout but I just prefer other forwards.

He’s fine but I prefer Stones for ball recoveries + value. It also depends on who your other defenders are as there could be an opportunity to go for a more attacking defender.

Here is another comment: LWB/RWBs are overated compared to centerbacks ... Akanji/Rudiger/Schlotterbeck/Pepe far better than Cancelos of the world... I also have Pepe and predict he will score vs Slovenia Big dilemma .. Schlotterbeck or Tah for 1/4.. I suppose we should know beforehand as Germany plays first. And Freuler! No mention of him whatsoever (I missed on him also) and he's constant in Swiss tram, big consideration for 1/4

Ball recoveries add another dimension to the game. I’m used to it from previous international tournaments and UCL Fantasy. Tah will likely start over Schlotterbeck but Nagelsmann isn’t averse to shaking things up.

Got Akanji & Rudiger and selected Gundo over Musiala and when penalty came I was in extasy til Havertz picked up the ball, wtf?!?!?!?

You win some and you lose some. Havertz is the first choice penalty taker now which wasn't the case before the tournament started.

Really small point as I know there’s a good chance you WC before the QF, but Pickford and Verbruggen play on the same day in MD5. Only mentioning this as I noticed it for my own team and thought others may be considering that pairing if you have already used the WC or are consider a MD6 WC.

He’s a big rotation risk with only one start in this tournament. I mentioned him briefly but I highlight the other Dutch defenders who are better because of game time.

@@CitySharkTeam You may be right, changes are needed after that performance vs Austria. I just don't trust Frimpong to start most games and Ronald Koeman can get things very wrong with his lineups/tactics.

(196 points so far..) De Bruyne > Bellingham Pepe > Cancelo Gundogan > Musiala/Wirtz Morata scored hattrick vs Georgia and Gakpo?! Holland losing to Romania with clown Koeman as coach. ... and everybody sleeping on outsider players (Eriksen, Vester something, Kavecnik etc.)

Pepe is already in my 15 man squad. Gakpo has performed well and I believe he can deliver, even if the Netherlands end up being eliminated. I still like Eriksen and Morata but you can’t cover everybody.

@@FPLDylan wrote it before I saw Pepe, got more-less same doubts.. all the picks u (and other presenters) make will ultimately get u/us to top 10% but not to say 1% or winning. I am also thinking of going for 15 differential picks... just for f...k of it. Will decide last minute.
