„Actually, what I am looking for in my concerts - it`s not that long that I am doing concerts -. what I want now ist really this human experience: that you go out of the concert with something inside. Not just like: „oh that was great singing. But even that we forget about singing, how they played, how it sounded and how was the piano. That actually this go to a second level. What you receive as an audience and what I get also as a performer is like that… wow! That was like a hug, like a kiss, that was like I shake someone's hand and I felt the warmth of that hand. It is like a really intense dialog like something deep was said thanks to music and thanks to the characters.“

There are millions of people telling how to do this piece, but only a few people in the world who can actually are able to sing it decently. Mr. Villazón is marvelous.

I know what he is talking about at the end of this posting. Rolando says that the singing, the music, everything becomes secondary to the 'memory' of how things were when I first heard, and learnt, that particular song. The word 'nostalgic' also comes to mind, like what happens if the 'old' feelings come back, I might be happy 'remembering' those feelings, or I might cry, because of the intensity of the memory, good or bad. I think it is the same with smells, etc. but mostly music does it for me.... Love, Cora xxx

"Ach, alles sinkt herab" singt Rolando Villazon ebenfalls sehr schön. Wenn mir auch der großartige Joseph Schmidt besonders berührt. Auch Rolando Villlazon hat den Applaus verdient. Was würde ich mich freuen, gäbe es hier noch eine Aufnahme mit Fritz Wunderlich. Aber viel Hoffnung habe ich nicht.

He is 34 here. At 43 he already had voice problems which caused him to stop singing operas.

Na, da würde ich aber noch mal ganz genau hinhören und quer vergleichen. Rolando ist weit entfernt von der Stimmgewalt eines MDM....

Lo "squillo" tipico del tenore lirico...... Smagliante, svettante, sfacciato..... Sono pochi oggi i tenori che hanno questi acuti in tasca.... Un po' di lavoro sul registro di mezzo a mio modesto avviso
