Anna … your young nephews know about music as I, that can barely distinguish a rose from a daisy, know about flowers. For their wellness, educate them to listen to good music. Make them listen to Beatles, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Europe, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, etc.

As a nostalgia junkie, there’s just nothing like the 1980s to make me nod my head, smile softly with fondness. There is just so much material there to reminisce about- the amazing music, memorable fashion, the TV shows, the movies. Yes, the 80s were a goldmine of wonder, and undoubtedly the best decade for a child to grow up in. Ever.

I don't know what keeps bringing me back to this band... I was around 5 years old when I first heard Final Countdown and the band has stuck with me ever since. Lately my father passed and memories of my childhood came flooding back... it's strange that so much of it is linked to Europe.

I grew up in the 80's, I saw almost every band you can think of during that era.....sans Ozzy and Kiss.....This song has so much passion and the message, says it all!!! I Still get goosebumps from the songs I grew up on.

They are certainly not underrated in Europe, Asia and South America, in North America yes, they are underrated, but that has usually and historically always been the case with European music generally not becoming popular and topping the charts in the United States and Canada but doing so everywhere else in the world as North Americans have different musical tastes compared to Europeans, Asians and South Americans. Just look at 90's Eurodance groups like Vengaboys, Masterboy, Eiffel 65, 2 Unlimited, Paco Pil, Haddaway, Aqua, DJ Bobo, DJ Ötzi or Dr. Alban, or 80's Euro disco/Italo disco groups and singers like Baltimora, Righeira, Ryan Paris (Fabio Rosocioli), Falco that became popular throughout Europe and rest of the world but I highly doubt Americans have heard the aforementioned names. Same goes for the European rock band, Europe. Americans do not like nor care about anything produced and made outside the United States as they are a proud and nationalistic people (they elected Trump and USA is after all the self-proclaimed "greatest country in the world" and Americans are and just do anything and everything "better than everyone else" again according to Americans themselves), and also they have historically and culturally been isolated from rest of the world, and geographically by the two huge oceans surrounding the country, namely the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. So I am not surprised that Euro-rock, Europop or Eurodance or any kind of so-called "Euro music" meaning European music is always underrated in the United States as Americans don't like "Euros" or Europeans very much (if they did they wouldn't elect Trump), but it certainly is not underrated in rest of the world. So Europe is not the most underrated 80's band in the world that is not the United States and to an extent maybe Canada (although Canadians do tend to express a greater affection for all things European compared to Americans), but Europe certainly is the most underrated 80's band in Trumpland.

You know, it will be a reaction. Each time needs its music. Britpop couldn't happen in 1980s, as the music didn't need a clearing power then, but 8 years later the people were for simpler and "purer" melodies. The times should be remembered, but not brought back
