So fascinating to see my own city through the eyes of an outsider who actually spent more than just a few days here, but who had the time to take in some of the attractions and highly valued culture in our city. It is always amazing to see what outsiders notice in our town, and your intriguing mini-walkthrough of our city is highly inspirational even to me and it makes me appreciate the environment in which I move around so often even more. To see something you see every day through the eyes of someone visiting gives you a whole new perspective on top of your own perception of Aarhus. Thank you so much for this beautiful and flattering portrait of our proud tiny "mini-big city".

When you visit Århus, don't miss Den Gamle By. This recreates town life from ages past, with old town houses from all over Denmark. There is a medieval section, and several more modern sections, the latest from 1974. They are building a 2014 section. Also, the Århus cathedral is not only Denmarks largest church, it has many medieval murals.

another great spot in Aarhus is mindeparken (memorialpark, it got its name because of the beautiful monument in the center of the park honouring the lives of the soldiers lost in ww1) and the queen's vacation home just behind the park. mindeparken is a very big park where you can see the water in the distance, see the pink cherry trees blossom in spring, or just watch people have a great time. it's also possible to walk through the queens garden when she isn't there. if she is, then you have the opportunity to see the guards with the big fur hats outside the gate:) hope you get to visit Aarhus, my beautiful hometown, again in the future:) you're more than welcome

Liked the video! Pretty informative. About Aarhus being underrated: mass tourism can be a blessing but it can also be a curse: look at Madrid, Rome, or Paris overwhelmed by tourists everywhere demanding services and indirectly driving prices up! So I believe Aarhus is more enjoyable the way it is with not so many crowds! Be careful with what you wish! So count your blessings!
