Over half of the Finno-Ugric languages were missing, all those that are spoken in Russia. They are at least: Karelian, Vepsian, Ingrian, Mari, Moksha, Erzya, Udmurt and Komi. They are all spoken in the European side of Russia. All the Sami languages, spoken in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia are missing. Many of these are endangered and it doesn't help that they are ignored like in this film.

because if there is one European group that, let's face it, was the most warlike, it's Germanic people. You have the Vikings and Vandals with their raids and mass destruction of people and towns, British who are most notably the World conquerors (British empire and their treatment of colonies), and Germans - i feel like I don't need to explain this one.

Sarah Eberhard Learning Basque really helps to open the gate to learning any language...not so much because you'd be able to associate it with another language, but rather he opposite. You kind of break preconceived ideas of how grammar is formed and it's easier to adapt to different language structures. This is obs. bullshit, but sounded good and it's the only way I could excuse Basque being useful (it's gorgeous though). TRY IT!! ;)

Irish learner from Ireland here! Thank you so much for speaking awareness about our beautiful language. :D There’s just a few corrections about Irish I’d like to make: -Irish is also spoken in Northern Ireland (Which is currently a part of the United Kingdom), so you should probably specify that Irish is spoken in both Ireland and Northern Ireland. -There is probably less than 350,000 native Irish speakers. I’d say that there’s about 175,000 fluent speakers at most with 80,000-95,000 people speaking it as their first language. -“Dia daoibh” is only used when greeting multiple people. It’s “Dia dhuit” if it’s only a single person. Anyways, thanks for including us! D’fhéach mé ag an físeán agus bhí mé ag sonas agus tógtha faoi é. :D

The Republic of France only did so in hopes the Netherlands wouldn't be united, and give the Flamish the idea that they were "different" from the Netherlands. "Flamish" Nord-Pas de Calais should never have been annexed by France. It's Dutch by culture and so was it's language. "Hollandisch" and "Flamish" are more alike than for example "Scottish English" and "Wessex English"

+Raging Bull the balkans speak a slavic language mostly because the orthodox church used cyrilic alphabet for a very long period, however most of the balkan population ancestry is thracic, and other peoples that lived in area, and in a smaller amount slavic.

+Bogdan Cozma everything about catalonia in this video is correct... it is spoken in catalonia, Valencia, Balearic islands, Andorra and in the "Alghero" (Italy) that's what the video says... I used the term "Catalan countries" because i had not space to write Valencia, Balearic islands...

+Bogdan Cozma The video says "Catalan countries", English for "Països catalans", while "Italy" only stands for Alghero, which is in Sardinia.
