Non ho visto il match completo, e faccio il tifo per Fogna. Temo però che gran parte di questo risultato sia frutto dell’ inconsistenza di Van de Zandschulp piuttosto che dei colpi di Fabio. Spero di sbagliarmi, ovviamente.

@@francescodefendi3201 va bè, allora anche McEnroe sclerava ma faceva parte del carattere del personaggio, carattere che rispecchiava il suo genio. Se la prendeva con l'arbitro e Fabio con la racchetta e con se stesso ma mai con l'avversario... A differenza di McEnroe però di solito fa del male a se stesso...

Zandschulp was super painful to watch. Speelde als een amateur! Looking like a fish out of water for over a year not enjoying himself, but this was pathetic. Can't even really judge if Fognini played was cause most of the time he just needed to bring ball back twice max

@@amirfigo If he could have done it easily, he would have. The point is - it isn't easy, and physical skills are not enough. Fognini has always lacked the right mental skills, and he is not alone in this. Gaël Monfils talked about this openly, but most players don't. Monfils was clear that if he did what it took to be #1, he wouldn't have enjoyed his job.

@@zweigackroyd7301 Very well said. The skill is not enough. Fognini has an insane level of skill, enough to be a #1. But he lacks everything else and that's why he is "just" a remarkable player nice to be watched. Still a good career and lot of pleasure offered.

@@ondrejvencovsky6834 I am glad to have this response. So many people interpret it as a criticism, which it is not. It is rare to have the combination of abilities to be the best in the world at anything, and it is hardly a failing to be excellent in one's field!
