The difference from a Giro with Pogačar to another with Roglič. The design of the stage was magnificent, from km 10 to the finish line it was cycling poetry. The fans, except for a couple of reckless ones...wonderful. The fan service to nostalgia with Nairo in second and Nibali on the podium with Pogačar in ten. Seeing the Slovenian on the last ramps at less than 20 km per hour shows that no one is superior to nature...and that the summit was changed...Beautiful stage!

@@yubakadi217You start the race with 130 genetic freaks (hugely talented people). A couple will always be more freakish than others. When one seems able to take minutes out of the rest day in day out, race in race out without out any obvious sign of fatigue you have to suspect that they are doing something others aren't. Saying all cyclists are doped is a huge cop out. Cycling has always been relatively open about the doping issue compared with other sports like, football, tennis, rugby, American football etc (all of which have far more money and lawyers involved):and has suffered for it. I think Pogacar is the most physically talented rider we've ever seen, and thus is a strong contender for next GOAT. You put ANY rider from the past, in their prime, next to Pog today, and it's hard to imagine he does anything but beat them. MAYBE Eddie would give him a run on modern bike, but even then, with nutritional science being what it is, I don't think Eddie wins. Time will tell if he can match palmares with the best though. Honestly, I think Pogi should dial it down a bit. He has (already had) Giro in his pocket. With other TdF contenders essentially crashing out of the competition, TdF should be an easy win by Pogi's standards and then he can go for a triple crown with Vuelta. That would be tough as both Jonas and Remco will recover, but if anyone can do it - - it's Pogachar. And this year the opportunity has presented itself, so he should go for it.

Greatness, pogacar But if in first week vingegaard doesn’t lose more than 2:30 then 2d week v will stay even with p. Stages 13 and 14 are key at tour. V will have his legs by then, and, likely there, and in last week will win tour 24. Also depends on weather. If a hard mtn stage is in x hot weather, there p is weaker than v

Pogacar putting fear into his competitors for the TdF. Great tactic just get more time on the 2nd week, so 3rd all he has to do is follow wheels, guaranteed giro win, and rest for the TdF.

Well enough of Juice comments already, but I think the margins are high because of the competitors psychology too. He attacks with a bit of kms to go, others keep looking for who’s gonna chase, and a gap increases. Then others think of riding defensive to not loose thier current positions! All this combined you get a nice 3min gap on the main group.

@@pahouseholderactually it is naturally possible. Did you know that Pogacar at this level wouldnt even be a worldclass rider 30 years ago. He wouldnt battle for the gc even tough the bikes were way heavier, it was less famous, no aerodynamics and so on. Guys like G.thomas would be domestique's. So why cant it be natural?
