I think there are enough examples of editions which proofs that translating the votes in 3 languages is just dragging out the voting too much and makes it way too difficult for the host. Doing one set of votes yourself seems easy, but being on that stage with all the pressure, going on for 20 or more sets of votes, makes having a slip more frequently; which also makes it confusing for everyone to watch. Such as during this voting where she suddenly almost forgot how much points were awarded to a country, because each time she translated it, she changed the number of the vote.

I like how you utilized the visual identity for 1983 to make this scoreboard! Some highlights include the circles in the background and using the music notes to reveal the points. The scoreboard you created reminded me of the one from 2004 with its shape. In my opinion, I think 1983 was a great year! There were a few duds in there (including Turkey), but I liked the song quality and how the orchestra interpreted them. The production was a bit weaker on the other hand, though I did like the flag parade and the flower arrangements. It also featured one of my least favorite winners of all time in Si la vie est cadeau. I like French language songs, but this is not one of them and it doesn't hold up well today. Honorable mentions to GBR and GER (who looked like they could win in the early voting); they would've done well in any other year in the 1980s. My top ten: 1 pt: PRT 2 pt: FRA 3 pt: GRE 4 pt: ITA 5 pt: ESP (It's a bit of an acquired taste, sure, but I really love the orchestration here! It adds a bunch of drama with Remedios' voice). 6 pt: BEL 7 pt: FIN 8 pt: SWE - Carola's debut entry is very charming and sweet, and show off how talented she is as a performer. I prefer the verses to the chorus, but it works together well with the melody, vocals, and lyrics. Also the rare case where minor verse/major chorus works. 10 pt: YUG - This is where Yugoslavia transitions to pop music, and I think this is the very best of them (yes, even better than Hajde da Ludujemo, though I like that one too). It's nostalgic, summery and fun, and Danijel's backing dancers have a ball on stage. Plus the orchestration turns this good song to something fantastic. 12 pt: ISR - I rarely say this, but I think this song should have won. It's proud, it's clearly tied to the country it is from, and it also has some of the best orchestration in the contest. Ofra Haza was a fantastic singer, and her backing team does a great job too. (Rewatching the voting, I'm surprised on how Israel never took the lead at any point, along with how few 12 points they had) It's an absolute anthem, and a deserved classic today.

As with Eurovision in general I dont think 1984 had many great songs, but in retrospective I would say that with all songs considered the quality was quite high actually. And besides Austria that came last ( it got points and wasnt that bad) Yugoslavia that ended 2nd last was very catchy and would probably be in the too 5 has it competed in the remaining finals of the 80s. Norway the winner of the bottom top3 was only 10 points from a top 10 placing. My personal favourite that year was Luxembourg( was 9 at the time and thought the singer was soooo beautiful🤭) still think the song is very good( too sad her delivery was so off key) .
