For me the magic starts at 1:55 with the drums and the violing coming through. Whoever composed this, incorporating all these different elements (kids, instruments) in the original song is a genious.

There's a funny story about this. The government said to the national broadcasting company it had to be the cheapest Eurovision in years and yet the swedes delivered one of the best openings ever in Esc. #respect

Of course it had to be cheaper. She competed in Azerbaijan and they built a new arena etc for it. Azerbaijan didnt save money.

Yeah, that´s true, I read these figures somewhere. 2007: Helsinki: €17.5 million 2009: Moscow:€ 33 million 2012: Baku: €60 million 2013: Malmö: €12 million 2014: Copenhagen: €45 million 2015: Vienna: € 34 million 2016: Stockholm: €14 million 2017 Kyiv: €45 million 2018: Lisbon €23 million 2019: Tel Aviv: €28.5 million So, Sweden spent :€ 26 million in total on both contests, Malmö 2013 and Stockholm 2016, which is less than most countries spend on _one_ contest, but yet it looked great both times.

I have to agree...Sweden has really set the bar high of expectation in Eurovision. Mostly, Eurovision isn't really taken seriously from where I'm from. ABBA put it up there and now Loreen took it to a whole new level. Coincidentally, Sweden is one of the countries I would love to visit one day. Just something about it. The music. The art. The fashion. The people. Can't explain! 😍 👍👌🙌

As an American, I have to say how much respect I have for those of you who are from Sweden. Your country has some of the best music in the entire world! This intro was not only stunning, but absolutely magical! I found it very moving and awe-inspiring. Great job to all of the children singing and, of course, to Loreen who has such a beautiful singing voice!

Sweden brought back music to Eurovision. I'm tired of all those shows when the host nation goes: Oh look at us and our nation, we are so good. Our lakes, Mountains and cows are so beautiful. It is like a long and endless traveling commercial instead of being a music competition. Get's abit silly after a while :)

Sedan att han tycker det är tråkigt att artisterna inte längre sjunger på sina hemspråk utan främst på engelska.

Vedat Direk I was there on the spot and worked got goosebumps and tears in my eyes :-) Swedish television did an amazing show ESC 2013 will probably go down in history as one of the best live broadcasts in the ESC. Perhaps Sweden wins sometime again who knows? Then we'll see what the next show will be?
