If you look for symbolism in everything, then Ukraine is not defending ethnic traditional songs from Russia, but the right to life, the right to freedom, the right to be independent and choose your own path. A black performer with a modern sound represents Ukraine no less than ethnic chants. Especially since racist Russia itself cannot provide anything similar.

It has a verry interesting sound. But it has for some ears a "strange" sound. So maybe not gut enough for a top place.
