Eurovision televote scores - From 0 to 439 [2024 update]

Malin was probably rushing to say Israel's televote as soon as possible so she didn't have to deal with the fact that we failed as a society any longer.
Anyway I guess I'm not phased by the fact that jury can influence the overall winner anymore even after Loreen. Glad for Nemo to have broken the code, the trophy and the record for most jury 12s, streets were saying they were really good at that jury final performance. If anything, it was a saving throw for poor little Eurovision, a contest currently "on life support" (- BorisBubbles, ESCUnited correspondant), but the actual winner of televote was just as much of one, and I always knew it was gonna be Croatia that wins televote in this fuck-ass final.
By the looks of it: Therapy business will thrive, jobs will be lost ("I hope, I hope, I hope" - Stefan Airapetjan), this year will forever go down in history books for all the infamy. We've all turned miserable at EBU's expense. Now for the contest to get several years of cancer treatment...

It is interesting when the scores go to the big numbers and it is visible that in 2016-2018 it is said much calmer because the country is unknown but since 2019 the country is already known which will be awarded points and therefore the big points are said much more louder.😅

It’s interesting that despite the naturally big margins between huge scores, there are still too many entries that got the EXACT same score: 253: Cyprus 2018, Italy 2019 323: Ukraine 2016, Israel 2024 337: Bulgaria 2017, Croatia 2024 376: Portugal 2017, Finland 2023 If we take all the top 2 in televote each year from 2016 to 2024, there are 7 out of 16 entries that share the same score with somebody else from another year. What are the odds?

The higher you go, the less combinations there are to get those points (they all get a bunch of 12s, 10s, 8s...). I think between 120-220 it's the hardest to repeat a score. Still, it's pretty remarkable that there are 4 pairs of the same score.

It was about 1.5 week ago, I started to cuss everything and everyone so heavily and loudly that I woke the whole house up EDIT: But Estonia this year was 20th not 21st EDIT 2: OMG nevermind I thought it was just about how many Rosa Linn got televote points, she got 20th so you were right, I'm so sorry

I was just feeling like "well... that happened" I was sure it wouldn't win though because it only had 10 points over Switzerland at that particular moment, and for televote to tank Switzerland like that would've been just ridiculous. And no, Armenia came 20th in 2022. 21st was Finland

It does make sense given that there are much fewer ways to get 1 point than to get say, 12 points. It would actually be quite impressive

Eurovision is for now a political centered crazy show, the last year which was fun was 2023, now its just broken. I wish Hannah and Graham could come back!
