You forgot to say that in 2022 Ukraine and in 2021 Italy both won because of the public vote. It changes. In my opinion, the jury vote is important, because: 1. We are all professionals in our jobs and we know exactly how it is, when someone with no clue about our job tells us what to do and judges us. No serious artist would go to Eurovision and then we are back to the 2010s, when a country couldn't convince good artist to go because they found Eurovision ridiculous. 2. If only the public voting counts countries start making a big show, silly entries, only to make people remember the entry. We were there. Eurovision almost died. People didn't watch it anymore and countries stopped participating. Italy, Luxembourg etc. Why the public vote is not the "true" vote: 1. Voting costs. Not everyone can afford it. 2. One person can give up to 20 votes to one country. But you pay for each vote. A person with two credit cards can give 40 votes etc. There are people bragging on the internet that they gave 60 or 80 votes to one country. 3. Some people vote for their home country. They can because they live abroad. So some countries have a massive advantage. There is also a thing called VPN. Cheating is easy. 4. Political parties, communities (like religious groups, activists groups) or even governments can convince people to vote or even pay them to vote. It all happened. So no, I want to keep the jury vote. I do not want Eurovision to become unimportant and mocked again.

@DramaQueenMalena pretty well gave most arguments in favor of a jury vote. And I think the power of Israel around the nations due to the large Jewish diaspora is illustrated in a another popular vote: The difference between the booows (i do not really condone them) in the hall and the point received in the televoting. But if we do argue with numbers, we could also ask, why do the votes of Germany, France, Italy, UK, all countries with over 50 millions inhabitants, count as much as those of Switzerland or Austria (around 9 millions) or even Luxemburg (less then a million). I don't know if there is a perfect system. But everybody knows the rules, and in fact, to win you have to convince two juries. Since the two juries have been instated in 2009, the winner convinced both juries 6 times, the televote overruled the jury 4 times, two times the winner was neither the televote nor the jury's winner, yes that is possible, and it is the third time that the jury overrules the televote. I don't see a pattern, it is even very balanced.
