I’m quite happy for Switzerland winning, but I was rooting for Baby Lasagna. This year I voted for Ireland, Croatia, Spain, and Slovenia just cause I knew the Juries wouldn’t give them much points. And now that this is the second year in a row that the Jury has placed one country miles above the rest makes me worried about this pattern 😬 the televote winner has to win sometime soon, and not come second, or else people may begin to riot lol 😂 Loved the video ❤ the analysis was appreciated!

Staging is everything., but camera angles are also everything. Hiring someone who understands conveying stories through film and theatre is an extreme advantage. It doesn't require a fortune to captivate an audience's imagination for 3 minutes.

I feel this “Croatia, sit down and shut up” attitude is not healthy: he was overwhelmingly 1st in the odds, won the OGAE, 1st with the press, 1st in the televote and here I see people disputing his jury points (it was a worthy performance , song had a greater message, it had cultural elements, his vocals improved to a great level, so it is not like it shouldn’t have gotten points on that side) and Baby Lasagna creating a concert and giving out so much energy! I am sorry, but fair is fair - yes, Switzerland deserved the win, but Croatia damn well deserved that 2nd place. People should stop with the bashing - on both sides!

The fact Croatia Jury gave Zero point to Switzerland and the Croatian Televote only 1 point when the Swiss Jury gave 8 points and the Swiss Televote gave 10 points to Croatia... It's huge iniquitousness. #SwissKarma It's also quite interesting because I was having a look on French newspapers and they were sure Slimane was winning (ofc) or Croatia. And I read Swiss-french newspapers: one journalist commenting for RTS (Nicolas Tanner) and who has been covering Eurovision for decades (aka an expert per say) said in an interview that the Odds «did not seem "entirely rational" and arouse suspicion» and the fact that Nemo was suddenly 3rd behind Israel after semi-final 2 was weird because he said professionals were NOT having the same thoughts at all and didn't understand the «hype» around the Croatian song that was kind of banal. And it turns out he was right. He also mentioned that a similar situation had already occurred in 2021 with suspicions of betting purchases then hovered over Malta. «They were the top bettors and then finished seventh," he said to RTS and he added: "So those bets didn't turn out to be correct."

About Belgium "not taking notes": keep in mind that it's basically another broadcaster competing in alternating years. VRT (up in '25) won't "learn" anything from Mustii's downfall because it wasn't their representative and not their responsibility, and when it's the RTBF's turn again in '26, Mustii will be a distant memory. Not to say I think this is the right mentality, and how comical it is both broadcasters make very similar mistakes! There have been some specks of light in recent years (e.g. broadcasters actually picking a representative from the other side of the language border) but I'm low-key afraid VRT will roll up with a pre-selection show stuck in the early 2010s and put the onus fully on the chosen artist to make it through.

I think Ireland's success this year was down to Bambie's vision and Bambie's vision only. I get the impression that every single epic choice made to elevate the performance began with Bambie and without their clear direction (including the choice of staging team) everything could have went seriously south! RTE think this year's Eurosong was a massive step forward because they put a few superfans in the studio to make some noise and make the whole set up look less tragic 🫣 Yes, ACTUAL fans helped the atmosphere and the sound was far less godawful than last year but we're still a very long way from anything even close to reaching a professional standard. I would LOVE to believe that there will be a step away from the current format next year and that Bambie's success will encourage RTE to diversify a little more and reach for the stars but i'm not hopeful. For the last 30 years Ireland have been followers rather than leaders in this competition and can't seem to come up with something new, fresh and forward thinking. Bambie, i fear, will prove to be a glorious anomaly and RTE will return to spoon feeding us unfiltered vanilla or - worse still - take the very essence of what Bambie brought to this year's Eurosong and annihilate it by trying to somehow emulate the impossible with some off-the-wall Bambie wannabe. THAT would be the very worst thing ever!!! I very very very much hope i'm wrong.......but i guess we'll see 👀 🤷🏻‍♀️🇮🇪

San Marino vocals were totally off in the semi. It seemed as if the singer couldn't hear herself cause she kept singing off most of the time. I liked their staging though. VERY sad Australia didn't qualify cause Electric Fields are awesome and everything was there. What hurt them was the lyrics video, the staging and not promoting enough through the months before the semi. Greece was also a internal selection this time but it was great cause Marina is a awesome artist and a awesome live vocalist. It was really bad she got sick right before the semi with fever and pharyngitis and couldnt recover fast enough to deliver those vocals. It hurt her in the semi (even she qualifed) and it hurt her even more in the finals by the juries and televote. :(

We forgive you because you are american...but the real reason why Ukraine got more than 300 points is geopolitics (the Russia/Ukraine war) the votes arrived from the millions of Ukrains spread all over Europe. It doesn't matter where you put Ukraine in the running order...(nor much the quality of the song) they were guarantee to do well a priori. Same with Israel - on musical terms alone it shouldn't be so high (a good song and performance but lacking any hump to be up there) - that's another political achievement at the expenses of Italy who was exposed to the public for being pro Israeli...and I don't think that vote leak was accidental.

Bambie had the best staging, without it, she wouldn't get as many points as she did to be honest because there were far better and stronger songs in the competition. UK had a nice staging but Olly just had very weak vocals and partially off. To see Norway last and Slovenia, Georgia being THAT low was really sad and dissappointing. Austria shouldn't had got to the semi final in my opinion. The vocals were weak, staging was mediocre and it was more posing then dancing. Would had taken Czechia over Austria for the finals cause the song was better, the vocals were better and the staging was one of the best in the whole competition. I hoped for a top ten position for Greece but the juries just didn't gave the points at all most of the time and the televoting should had been more in my opinion. In Polands case the staging was overkill, they really didn't need the red horse thing at all. The whole running around from spot to spot also hurt Lunas vocals because she was busy literally partially running from left to right while singing, then laying down, going up and so on. The main reason why Croatia had such a high televote was because The Netherlands got DQ. Almost in every chat I was in people said they are gonna vote for crotia instead. So I think that almost all televotes that were for the netherlands, pilled up for croatia helping them become second.

Ireland's song was not weak, it was polarising and inaccessible to some. Speaking personally, I've been completely fascinated by it from the moment I first heard it back in January, before we had any visuals or knew anything else about Bambie Thug - and I wouldn't rate anything that Ireland has sent to the ESC for decades. Michele, are you aware why/how xy country was second in the televote. Why are you repeating few times difference of 14 points , ignoring the backround of their points as it from real fans. One commentator said it all: from You I get vibe “Croatia, sit down and shut up” attitude and “, and also "you would get even less if Joost participated so sit down and shut up” attitude. Sotty but "what if"argument is very low from you as if Nemo maybe didnt get a big chunk of these votes. The right thing to say is how the tabel will be very different if yx country didnt have "good 1.5 milion Euros promotion and manipulation of eurovision app voting" and ruined the actual results,

Either you're purposely misrepresenting what I said or there is a language barrier "thing". I am repeating the difference between 1st and 2nd place in the televote because it is so tight. 14 points is TIGHT. PERIOD. I am also noting the difference because the 2nd place in the televote i.e. Israel winning would have upset many fans. So the folks advocating for a televote winner ina. year where the televote was so tight and the 2nd place would have made folks upset is a choice. This has literally NOTHING to do with Joost. I'm happy Croatia won the televote. I would have loved to see Croatia win- that's a fact.

@@AlesiaMichelle In your video you willingly or not sounded that you want to reduce the value of Croatian 1 place in public vote and the emphasis was not why/how xy is so High (second place) like that was business as usual. You barely explain anything about it, if yes then in gloves and carefully. You should talk non only about xy deletion behavior and the harassment that voting is a great part of xy Eurovision harassment/rigging campaign. Slovenians tv asked Ebu for some answers especial for app votes that were never there before .

I think that it's problematic to allow voting only after last song is ended because in such case there will be only 20 minutes for voting and people might be stressed, might do mistakes, might complicate with credit card details, etc. On the other hand, I agree that if voting start from the first song, it gives advantage to the first songs

Why are we emphasizing that Croatia got only 14 pts more than Isreal in the televote? Israel didn't win Eurovision. Switzerland won by coming 5th in the televote with more than 100 pts deficit to the overall runner up. That's the real issue. The overall winner wasn't even close to winning the televote. Fans have every right to be upset with the juries (or more precisely the scoring system) who now for two years in a row basically disqualified all the other songs from winning by handing an insane pts lead to one country. Disappointing for fans. ESC is here for the fans and public, not for a handful of "experts".

The jury should stick to awarding musical talent - I don't think it's fair for Croatia to get so many jury points compared to eg. Norway - on what basis? The jury vote should be explained - on musical terms alone about 300 times more points of difference between these 2 acts doesn't make sense.

Netherlands' disqualification was not right @ All.. That's been a disproportionate penalty 4 Joost Klein 2 pay.. Whatever he may have done !!! his song was simply an amazing 🎵 song.. which fully deserved 2 arrive STRAIGHT 2 the end.. I think 🇳🇱 disqualification helped A LOT 🇨🇭 Victory
