The significance of Bambie choosing to cover this song will not be lost on anyone in Ireland or the uk, or many places outside them. It’s just about the most impactful call for peace an Irish person can give, and they’ve done it as well as anyone ever has. Haunting, beautiful, and necessary in the current climate. I'm not from Ireland, but on this side for us they were the winners, along with Ukraine. Thousands of new fans have been sending them countless pieces of art and drawings and crafts and sculptures, all inspired by them and their performance at the Eurovision. They've made connections with other artists across Europe and showed so much humanity and empathy with them; more humanity and empathy than a lot of people online are willing to show them. They've achieved a heck of a lot more than you or I have achieved in our lives. Here Bambie Thug has created the most hauntingly beautiful and incredibly moving cover I have ever experienced. ❤️ They are the most expressive and creative artist I have ever known and this song and video fills me with many different emotions. Being Goth, it brings me tears of happiness and awe as it embodies the sentiments, aesthetics and world views which I ascribe to this way of life, and the subject of the song and the emotional pain expressed bring me tears of sorrow and despair at the atrocities happening in the world even still today. 🖤 Bambie is a brilliantly talented artist and wonderful person who is always speaking out and standing up for what is right, there are so many reasons to love and admire them. 💜

@@sedi2868 I'm not a mate, but very much female. Was not 5h yesterday. I don't doubt the rehearsal was good, I even might enjoy the performance today, but releasing a whole professional video clip with someone else's world hit just hours before the competition is very much to my disliking. This did not exist before and actually shouldn't.
