@@cembri6543 yeah but that's just the exception, generally speaking the jury voting makes sense. Like e.g. Switzerland's and France's songs were objectively speaking the hardest to sing/very artistic, but maybe not spectacular/dramatic enough to draw public attention.

I would like to note how much weak Malta has been promoted. Just before start of Eurovision, I watched the performance of Ukraine again on my phone and what came up as an advertisement? I swear there was a "vote to Malta" ad I couldn't believe my eyes... Of course two hosts were standing by Malta all the time during vote. They practically didn`t show us Ukraine, only their favorites ... Awful. I'm dissappointed :)

The little boy is very popular in Greece and is currently starring in a TV show about a family in 1969 whose story starts when they got their very own TV (it was very uncommon at the time to have a household tv). The premise is set only five years before Greece's entry in Eurovision. So he is a perfect fit for this position

That's what we see, the televoting points are added together. Since the jury vote since 2009, not only Eastern countries win the song contest, but also real artistic countries win the contest

The different and unique acts, like Ukraine and France, actually scores higher in televoting. The televoting top 3 were all no-english songs in different genres. Yes, a functional jury play their role, like saving France 2009, but I really trust the people of a country more than five people. The televoters values quality too.

A lot of my fellow Croats speak Italian... it is one of the languages we can choose besides having English as a 1st foreign language. Also since Istria and Dalmatia had big italian influences in the past and we also use italian words in our every day life it is quite natural that a lot of people tend to learn that language. But I also like that part by Dorian with Dodici punti hehehe.

EV does not need juries. They did a crime with Finland and Ukraine. They say it's 50/50 but that is not true. How many people are in the juries and how many people vote from the public? So only a fraction of "experts" can defy the will of a huge number of televoters. So think again if you think it's 50/50.

It's absolutely not 50/50, because only the finalist contries public votes were counted not all 39 countries.

@@XquantumX-_- Good they fooled you too. It's not 50/50. 50/50 would be when for e.g. there's the same number of people voting in the juries and public. The vote of the jury carries a much higher weight than the vote of the public and that is not an equal vote. Imagine around 200 votes (taking 3 people per jury. Take 10 if you want and make it 390 votes) carry the same weight as millions of votes. How can for e.g. 12 pts assigned by 39 juries be the same as 12 pts assigned by maybe thousands of people to one song? Is that fair? Imagine me voting and 10 of your friends voting. Even if I'm only one person my vote gives 12 pts to a country and the vote of 10 people also gives 12 pts. Why? Because I'm an "expert" or "professional". You see the problem?

I want to applaud The French Jury!!!! 0 points to Ukraine (12 in French televote) 0 points to Italy (French televote 10), 0 points to Malta... As if someone decided to not give a single point to competitors and forgot about objectivity. Audience-only voting has its flaws but it is still better than this kind of abomination.

@Erwin - I might add "the overperfect Swedish organisation" which I find more and more annoying, indeed! Think of the lovely contests in Vienna or Lisbon with their heartfelt organisation and their warm-hearted atmosphere. Carola‘s appearance wanted it all: the dress, the make-up, the nails, the words (I was, I had ...), the appeal to be thankful, the blessing - that was just camp and far too much. Sometimes less is more, but when it comes to Eurovision it seems to me that the Swedes take it all way too serious!

When everyone started giving 12 points to France and Switzerland, I was already so upset that we lost Italy and one of those 2 countries will win. But that damn televoting blew my mind! I was in tears when they said "Italy is the winner!". And believe me I am not Italian, I just love Italy and Maneskin so religiously... Lots of love from Azerbaijan❤

Jury votes make no sense, the purpose of them was to be fair and stop the gifting of votes to nearby countries meanwhile 90% of the points were given to a nextdoor country by the jury. (Or in the case of italy and malta to a very unpopular song for strategic purposes) ridiculous

Meh Italy usually doesn't have a even 12 points safe countries (like Greece and Cyprus). The most usual to have have 12 points or a lot of points from the jury is Albania and Malta (in this year Malta was one of favourites so didn't help Italy so much)

i mean we always knew that the juries are heavily biased but Gjon‘s Tears deserved every point he got if not even more. Switzerland has been on the lower receiving ends for the past 2 decades with exception of Luca in 2019 so at the very least we can say the 12 points to Switzerland are not biased.

And plus, as much as the result of juries could be politicised, it's needed to show the perspective of the people who have studied music. For example, the juries gave quite a lot of points to Portugal but got very little points from the public.

В этом конкурсе не только жюри неправильно голосует но и зрительские голосования фальсифицируются . В этом конкурсе не имеет смысла учавствовать потому что победитель известен задолго до начала конкурса . Италиянскии исполнитель за то что жюри из Кроации дало ему 12 балов послал того на все четыре буквы .

I love how the ESC brings so many people from different countries together. Even though there is sometimes tension between the countries it's amazing to see how we support each other. Music is a universal language❤

Let's appreciate how the Italian jury didn't give votes out of strategy, it voted for countries like Malta France Ukraine Finland Iceland and even gave 12points to Lithuania, a country with a strong song everyone liked so much and could easily go for the first place if other juries weren't so stingy ❤️🎉

The italian juries are really amongst the few that never vote politically,they gave 12 points to Lithuania. Also the italian televote was all for Ukraine- Italy deserves this victory both for the amazing Maneskin and for the way they approach to Eurovision, bringing talent, charisma, style, and always being honest and real! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!

Mmmh..they gave no points to Switzerland, despite Gjon voice went above any audible thing on that stage, his song was beautiful and his exhibition simply perfect. I can understand someone from home cannot appreciate this, but I can't justify a jury of people that until yesterday were all about Italian song, singing technique,performance, vocal extension and so on. That's a shame.

@@andreamaccio8628 I personally didn't like Switzerland. Music is a matter of taste. I think it was boring, predictable and it's a typical "Sanremo": a ballad with a deep-ish meaning. We have thousand of them in Italy. Ukraine, Lithuania, Iceland were so different and fun. I'd prefer them over the Swiss one everyday.

@@saralusini3698 Yes sure, but total voice control, high notes picking, perfect falsetto all in a track are undeniable, and here in Italy juries considered these skills as some of the fundamentals in a singer 'till yesterday, give him 0 points now is hypocrite. I don't say he deserves to win or 12 points from jury nor criticized people from home, because as you said there are other things to evaluate alongside technique, and different music tastes are the heart of competitions like this..but 0 points..give also 0 points to France then, whose song was a Mulin Rouge Theme copycat and sounded like 30-40 years old (voila..wow, a really original title, impressive)..the votes were unmetered and impartial, that's what I'm saying.
