Thresh main here, at 9:35 the graves walks into Thresh R intentionally to give Thresh the kill. Thresh didnt steal it, leave my man alone.

I think there's a difference between a one trick and a main Riven. I would strongly argue that Alois is not a one trick. The dude pretty much hit masters on every top lane champion there is.

A one trick plays their champ whenever they can which is what he does. Hes always advocated for people to just one trick a champ so they can learn matchups. Only reason hes hitting master on every champ is with his fundamental skills and not the mechanics from his champ

This is like saying because a diamond otp can hit gold with other champs he's not a one trick anymore. Alois can play other stuff but his riven is best by far and that's generally considered one tricking

Beautiful game, alois and azzapp have great synergy. Very smart and talented players. Azzapp's angles under pressure are perfect, that whole sequence when he killed Tarzan, got neeko zhonya, and then the pick on Kalista under tower were insane. Those early laning plays from Alois buying time for his jungler and the flash play in the cove were clutch moments. And of course the game turning fight azzapp baited and Alois followed up perfectly on with the neeko ult cancel and tanking and putting out huge damage with the perfect teamfight build.

The fact that riven even struggles a tiny bit to kill a 0/6/0 ksante, down 4 kills, 60cs 2 levels and an item says a lot about Riot buffing him…

Riven doesn't exactly deal high dps, half her damage is autos and item procs. K'Sante has clearly no chance fighting the Riven at that point but I don't see why he should be burned down like an ADC to top it off even while having Iceborn and Tabis. The damage is just right, mind the Riven also isn't building Spellblade and didn't proc Eclipse even once.

I would argue that he's most definitely _not_ the best Riven but the best player who plays Riven. Having played in the pro scene is definitely a huge benefit here as imo he has the best macro management/decision making out of all of them. In terms of piloting Riven, I'd say Wenshen is the best in terms of mechanics and Azhy is the best at understanding the champion and how Riven generally functions best (his runes and item builds are always optimised for every given scenario and the way he approaches skirmishes and team fights gets the most out of Riven in terms of consistency)

He is complaining that the gameplay is slow, we are literally watching a vod of a S1 champion vs a S12 champion. Btw Riven with like 3kills and all waves 2 items 1 lvl up was about to lose 1v1 to 0/4 Ksante with 1 item

I think he's been a Riven main, but he was also a pro player, so a lot of his game revolves around macro and other non-micro parts of the game.

Imo there are 3 Rivens who are all worth mentioning: 1. Wenshen: the best at piloting Riven, mechanically 2. Azhy: has the best understanding of Riven as a champion, evident by his optimised rune and item choices given any situation (both enemy lane and enemy team) as well as how he approaches skirmishes and fights which absolutely get the most out of Riven in terms of consistency 3. Alois: most certainly not the "best Riven" (I consider the other two better) but _the best player_ who plays Riven. You can tell that he played in the pro scene as he definitely has the best macro (general understanding of game states/what's going on, decision making etc) out of these Top3 Riven mains. I also doubt it's a coincidence that he prefers tp while the other two prefer ignite

Alois doesn't prefer TP, he just can't get away with playing ignite at 1k LP KR challenger. You can't get consistent leads with ignite at that level. He played ignite almost exclusively until he hit like 800 LP

I stopped playing in 2015 and at that time riven with a 3-0 lead and full item lead meant gg. I started looking at lol vids again and it’s crazy to think a 3-0 riven can’t solo an 0-4 kisante 😂😂😂 lol has changed so much

If we are talking about riven mechanics, he gets out claased by so many riven mains in CN and KR server. What make him stands out is his extraordinary discipline. He doesnt get cocky when hes ahead, he only make plays that would benefit the most.

I would argue voice chat makes the game worse, people have only so much focus and Brain power they can use at once. If you rely on comms you will play with less intensity and focus. Meaning it could easily be a nerf for some players and buff for players that already tunnel vision and need call outs.
