Built in 1996 and delivered to Eva Air in the year 2000. Eva Air B-16408 747-45E(M) Combi is one of two left in service with the carrier and will soon be replaced with the Boeing 777-300ER by 2014.
Enjoy a ride on this older Boeing 747 Combi as we take off from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport and land at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines.
Mrs. OwnsGermany sent this footage while she traveled back home from Seattle to visit her family in the Philippines for a reunion. I don't know some of the languages being spoken in the background, but she's assured me it's nothing bad!

I managed to fly twice with the jumbo jet during my last christmas vacations in the phils! from TPE to Manila, it was the B-16412, then the B-16411 when i left manila after new year! I just made a video of my take-off that u could see on my channel! I was in upper deck during the 2 flights! ;)

When I flew on this aircraft in 2004 I watched them load 2 Mercedes cars into the rear cargo area.

I am surprised to see a combi in 2013 normally since 1991 the combi was put out of service since the crash of South African Airways 295 ? Or maybe the truth of that crash was that at the end the combi was not at falt...

Last flight on EVAs last Combi was Jan. 4th, 2015 & the 777-300ER took its place on those ferry flights. KLM still runs them. I use EVA exclusively for my Asian flights.

My wife told me they were complaining about how the flight wasn't like the new Hello Kitty 777 they flew on! Thanks for watching, I've always enjoyed this flight also.
