Evan is by far my favorite 1A YoYoer, and he's SO right in his interview. Performance is just as (or maybe even more) important than tech, and entertaining should be the #1 priority.

+Daniel Acevedo I remember him getting a standing ovation at Nats 2014 too. When he walked onstage I didn't expect much but boy was I wrong! He and Zach were the only ones that got a standing ovation in 2014.

Can someone who knows a lot explain how Evan didn't finish higher than 5th place? Gentry Stein's performance had less obvious mistakes but some of the stuff Evan does I haven't seen before. His performance was very entertaining and would be far more impressive to an outsider let a lone someone who knows yoyoing. Incredible tricks plus loads of innovation!

In the yoyo contest rules, at the end of a freestyle if the person performing is not able to completely rewind the yoyo, it counts as a -3
