EVANESCENCE is such a underrated band nowadays. It's a shame one of the best voices of our generation does not get half the recognition she deserves. Amy is such a down to earth person. Their latest record, The Bitter Truth (2021) just rocks!

Just when I think Amy can no longer surprise me with her voice, her piano playing, her lyrics, and her ability to compose achingly beautiful melodies, I hear this breathtaking performance of a composition that I already adored. Josh is a hell of a man to inspire such an incredibly intimate composition. It feels almost voyeuristic to listen to something so personally expressed. Is she good enough? Pffft! Please. Her question is clearly, if unintentionally, rhetorical. Damn right she is!

One of my absolute favorite songs. I was on a cruise ship once and heard a pianist playing just the music, and I just loved the chord progressions. I had to go find her and ask her what she had been playing. Eventually I learned to play it myself (although I haven't played much piano in the past few years) and I've always wanted to find a female singer to accompany on this particular song. Great job, Amy! Never seen you perform but I still hope to some day!
