I had a brother who took lithium to treat schizophrenia and he hated it because it would cause tremors and itchiness. When he didn't take his meds, he would hear voices and get in trouble. RIP Bro.

I knew a guy who got shot off to a psych ward before landing in a rehab. the ward had him on too high a dose of lithium and when he got to the rehab he was able to taper down but he was barely able to walk and also could sit still. looked absolutely horrible. after a about 6 - 8 weeks he had been secretly not taking his meds and hiding them. the guys at the rehab found the meds he was spitting out and kicked him out the program. he ran out the front door and to the freeway bridge and jumped. hoping your brother didn't leave us in a similar fashion but I do hope both your brother and him found the peace they were unable to get in this world.

Lithium is a drug to treat bipolar disorders, to stabilise serious and harmful mood swings. The lyrics (speaking of lithium) say "Don't wanna let it lay me down this time. Drown my will to fly", referring to the calming effect of the drug that strips the highs and the sense of self. This is probably my favourite Evanescence song, as you said, the arrangement is so good!

Why have her listen to the only song that really wasn't Evanescence. The male voice killed the song. It was so out of place it's embarrassing. You can see why Amy dropped it the second she could and never added it again. It was trash. How anyone producer could hear her sing and say, "Why need to add a male vocal to make her sound better." Should never work in music again.

All of the classic early albums from Evanescence have this haunting sadness to them that makes you want to give Amy Lee a big hug. It's also this raw emotion that makes these songs so heart wrenchingly amazing. Hrm... your Twitch community may not bite, but I hear Lzzy Hale of Halstom does... "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm is worth the listen if you haven't reacted to it already! :D

Great reaction! An amazing vocalist she is, no argue with that. May I recommend Nightwish - Storytime, but this time the official music video with Anette Olzon?
