Let me explain this to you guys before the really intimate fans jump on me about his one. Yes, You is a really private song to Amy, and no, it's not technically Evanescence, but this song IS released on the (rare) CD "Beauty in Darkness," and I can say this for a fact because I actually have the CD.
Next project, also with music from Beauty in Darkness: Everybody's Fool Karaoke! Lyrics, lack of vocals, and everything!

I've never listened to this song, my ex was the biggest Evanescence fan I've met and just as the first verse started, tears started to form in my eyes, and as every word in the song came along I rememberd every night sleeping next to her, watching her, the most beautiful human being I've met, all the times I said to her "marry me" and she said we would (we were young) and now she's gone, my heart is literally suffering right now but it crossed my mind to send her the link to the song...

Gustavo De Dios if she's worth it, if there's a chance, then do it; otherwise, try to keep your head up and leave her in the past.. it's hard af, but it's an option too - I nearly cry everytime I hear these more feelings-full songs of Amy/Evanescence, I can't put in words how much I miss my ex :/

God this fucking song. I used to love it when I was younger and I just listened to it abaing after I think 3-4 years and I'm literally sobbing. For no reason, other then it being a beautiful song, but there no personal connection I can make with it to my life. but God I love it and its such a tear jerker for me.

regardless of this song was not suppose to be released it was and its a blessing to all who can hear it. I waited 6 years to find the right guy to finally allow him to say this is a song for us.

The first time i properly listened to this song, I was with the love of my life on a train to Sydney. I couldn't help but to cry into her shoulder. This song describes how I feel so well... All the emptyness of my life, everything I've ever needed, I find in her. I AM perfect around Her... I DO fall apart without Her... Her every word IS Sacred. I can never look away from her eyes... Hazel surrounded with a luminous blue...

You can't really appreciate this song until you've actually felt this way about someone and then lost it. Then it becomes a beautiful knife through the heart instead of just a "pretty, sweet little song".

This makes me cry. This is so going to be played at my wedding. My best friend gave me a hug and and started dancing with me when he heard it playing in the background. i sang it and exagerated the "eyes are so Blue" and whispered it in his ear then he whispered "Amy, Marry me." and from then on. i font think ive crieed so much. I love you too Roland. I always will and I don't care how young we are. we'll be together forever. just like you said. :')

her voice is very raw and real. you can most definitely tell she sings from deep within... from a different place. I look up to her, she sings from sorrow.. and from what iv deciphered from her lyrics she's gone through some hard times. Its awesome to know how someone who's like me and who hasn't had "The easiest of life" could end up with such an awesum and powerful gift and climb to the top of the world:D very commendable, inspirational for me to try my hardest and never give up. :D

I have never listened to this song before just because of my respect for Amy and her wish to never publish this song...but this is one of the best Ev' songs ever and I so hope Amy can forgive us all for listening to her masterpiece! ♥ We love you amy!♥

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. And I also feel guilty about listening to it over and over, but I see it as a gift Amy gave the world because she for 1, never wanted it "out there", and 2, never put it out as a single to cash in. I just think it is sad that she has gone the way of most rock stars in all of their newest music being overproduced. I hope she is not just surrounded by "yes men" that tell her that all her new music is as good as the first music, like this

So much emotion put into one song. The only emotion you can feel from true love. Like of their songs, Amy shows such emotion with her voice. Even hitting all the high notes, and low notes with perfection. She IS perfection.

To people who wrote a comment that said it's not a depressing song and is positive. You are right to a point. It is a very happy song about how in love with her fiance she is and how much he loves her too. The part that makes it depressing is the fact that he left her. This was her first fiance, and he left her so that i am sure is one reason she won't release this song. She maybe happy now but this song breaks my heart. sooooo sad... but soooo beautiful!!:)

I Love this song so much. 4 years ago back when i was in Italy, I would lay awake round 3:00 am in complete darkness listening to this song. My room was right next to one of the many Canals and I would listen to the water trickling underneath the bridges and into the Ocean. I've been here in America for 3 years and every time i listen to this song I close my eyes and picture the sounds of the water back in Venice. How I miss home.
