I have the huge privilege of working with one of the best drum/music companies in the world, Evans Drumheads (a D'addario company). For them to endorse what we're doing at Drumeo is just an amazing feeling.

When Evans launched their new technology at the NAMM show 2013 I was blown away to say the least. They're really pushing innovation which is something I have a ton of appreciation for. So this is a video of me testing out the Evans Level 360 Drumheads in the Drumeo studios for the first time ever. I hope you enjoy it! - Jared Falk

Keep in mind that those drums and that floor tom are EQ'd, so you're not going to hear a lot of the crazy overtones you would with raw audio. Especially since he didn't even tune the floor tom and it still sounded perfect. It would have sounded a lot different had it not been EQ'd. But hey…that's marketing!

I wasn't a believer too. But I've tried them this past couple of weeks, and I must say, I don't want anything else from now on. I bought for my new Sensitone Brass Snare a set of Genera Dry/Hazy 300 and for the toms G1 Coated in Level 360 and they're a lot easier to tune. The sound is just more focused, nothing else. But I've saved 20-30 minutes to change my all set, and when you gig it's huge. That for me is the main plus of this technology. SAVING TIME.

I've always been a remo guy, but I got a hydraulic black head with 360 tech and I have no plans of going back to remo. I managed to get my ideal sound within a few minutes.

I just got a whole set of 8,10,12 and 16 EC2 clear drum batter and redo heads. I love, Love, LOVE them!!

When they finally make it to retailers in the UK I will buy some of these for my toms. I hate worrying about tuning every time I play - these look like they will easy to keep tuned. I normally avoid using Evans heads on the snare though since Evans' rims don't seem to handle really high tuning as well as Remo heads and I have had a couple fall apart.

You're a really good supporter of Evans, I've never heard you say anything at all negative about them.

Evans is what I've always used, -- thanks Jared for the review. Yes, a good head can make an OK drum sound good -- just like a "came w/it head-cheap mylar" can make a great drum sound barely OK. This is why the bearing edge is such an issue, aside from the material, hoop, braket, and geometry of the shell, or can be. And, this is why someone who installs a great head, on a great drum, it sounds "bad" because of *the drummer/installer. I keep mine loose and resonant - Evans on Sonor does it good.

What is the difference between these and Aquarian heads, which have been using, under patent, this technology for many years?? I have always found Aquarian heads very easy to tune and they have a locked collar design!! I tried the Evans and could find no real difference myself. And it does share problems associated with Aquarians like sounding too tubby sometimes or producing strange overtones at low tunings on some drums--please what difference?

Bad QA ,picked up a 14 360 Dry and it was missing some vent holes. Coating on others sticks to packaging on leaves divots in head surface.

hi! Ive just bought a Pearl Reference kit. As you know, its a drumset with a lot of wood and diecast hoops...what resonant heads would you recommend me for this drumset? I want it to sound fully resonant and I use G1s coated on top....thanks!

I am also a Pearl Reference owner and finally buried my batter into the kick head, made it 4 years with regular giging (80+). I bought a Level 360 (22") on the recommendation of another Reference owner in my area. I realize your comment is a year old but wanted to chime in here. I'll have some feed back soon.

A good set of mics and a little know-how can also get you the sound you want :P But that usually only works in certain mediums.

If you can find that kit for 3k please let me know and I'll buy some of them :) My kit cost $6000 just for the shells. To get this EXACT sound, yes, you need the exact same setup. But I'm hoping you take some time to find your own sound. When doing that, I recommend you consider Evans Drumheads.

beside the brand of the drums (here it are DW drums which arent that cheap) you need a good audio engineer to let it sound like this. i think there is some EQ and Compressing on the actual sound. I'm realy interrested how the raw sound of these heads even on other shells are to get a comparrision. I think i'll choose the heads which fit the most for my drumkit and my sound i want and spend more time to tune them correctly.

Put on headphones! there is a difference of hearing the sound with headphones on than on your computer's or phone speakers! try it

all drums up to 20 inch i think are level 360 it might be smaller but i know its no bigger than 20 inch. it should say somewhere on the evans website, maybe the faq section.

I have these but my Tom's still sound bad and I no matter how perfectly I try to tune them they still sound bad

I'm a new drummer. I'm having an issue with the overtone. I don't know how can I get that off. Do I need to buy the whole new drum set or just buy new drum heads? I need help!

Not necessarily, I've heard some REALLY good starter-brand drum kits that had good heads. They obviously aren't going to sound like a DW kit, but they still sounded awesome.

For people who are say thing they wish they had an endorsement , it goes the other way around you endorse the company , just like my drum line endorses Kickport Int.

Sadly, disks of hammered metal apparently cost a lot. haha jk I make it sound easier than it is but totally, cymbal prices are way too high

Using one, sounds good but it is more about marketing than anything else. Ask yourself this question, have there ever been great sounding drums before this head? Of course there have. We all want to buy stuff and drum companies know this.
