I use an Arby Hictor too, wish there was a t10 version though as it’s a little fragile.

@@Gromire Yea, the t10 are alot tankier. I had double armor reps tanking 1500+ dps using some core with rep bonus (dont remember the name). Large neut, scram, double web and med rapids was my standard fit. Ate frigs and non faction cruisers, and some turret bc too.

Absolutely, a technique I’m getting much better at the more I practice. Sometimes it’s even better to land far away and use that second warp to get exactly the distance you want from the ship too.

I’m learning too, so it’s good to watch your videos on and pick up tips- I’ve found with a gu10 range tracking- there’s very few ships that can hit you over 30km and you can actually turn your mwd off to save cap.

@kenny4k I use the tracking speed GU, ever since I ran into a long range Apoc striker that had his optimal reduced to my orbit range by my tracking disrupter and almost 3 shot me haha.

The problem I have with the chameleon is that it only has 3 mid slots and you really need that 4th slot for the narrow scanner if you’re hunting. It definitely has more defense and more offense than the arby III but I think the extra slot and tracking disrupter bonuses, as well as more options for nano cores, make it much easier to fit the arby out for what I want to be doing. @Gromire Fiend would be my secondary go to outside of the Stratios if I had Cruiser skills. Granted I rarely ever go out PvP'ing.

Fair point, that implant is huge especially for flying it solo- however what I love about the Arby the most is how ALL of its ship bonuses go into helping it succeed, whereas you look at the Blackbird covert ops with Sensor Strength bonuses that don’t help it at all, or target painter bonuses on the Bellicose Covert Ops when most don’t even want to use one of the mid slots for a target painter.

True, I tend to stay away from missiles and drones for that reason, but I have fought a couple ravens who couldn’t apply damage well so I think Arby still has a decent matchup against them. Since I can’t dock and switch to a missile disrupting mod like in low sec, I have to pick one over the other, and since Arby has tracking disrupter bonuses it makes sense to fit that and know what I matchup well and poorly against. @@Gromire Another thing you could've done is when you warped to the chimera at first when you were cloaked. You were at a good distance enough to warp to it again using the original scan. It will say Chimera maybe at around 280km on your scanning page. Then you can re warp to it and get range quickly

@@Gromire In fleet rally's all you have to do is monitor the range of the fighters. they're usually at 0 to the anom so it will give you a lot of time to shoot lol

I tried, large won’t fit, maybe a medium. Im not feeling DCU anyway it’s too situational and likely if I am taking damage or scrammed I’m screwed regardless lol, it really only helps against faction frigates. Will prob end up fitting an armor repairer or battery as I continue to tweak it.

@redstorm64 I change the low slots around often. Sometimes I go medium repairer and battery if I’m worried about neuts and drones, sometimes I go double drone dmg mods and bump my cold dps up to try and burst better. I have been running a second disrupter for extra long points pretty consistently lately, as it seems everyone’s nanocore gives them at least 3 points of warp disruption immunity- but without the scram I have a much harder time catching mining ships, and don’t event attempt Orcas.

@@Gromire gotcha, thanks. I ended up with something similar. Went for an ascension core so I can point from 40km. Hoping to not need a dcu or extender that way so I can fit a battery

@redstorm64 I find the only time I need a DCU is for fighting other cruisers or smaller ships. Otherwise I’m outside of an enemies range with a tracking disrupter on them and the DCU is useless. The fit for this video was more of a balanced fit for as many situations I might run into, but when solo it’s just better to fit optimally for what you want to fight and not engage anything else. I’ll look into ascension core, I can only get my disrupter range to 38.5 with trailblazer (though I could have gotten better rolls on the bonuses lol)
