Delvaux Bags: Brilliant Versus Tempete Versus Hermes, Which Luxury Handbag Is Better?

Delvaux bags are the epitome of luxury and often go unnoticed so I wanted to share this Belgian brand and their history in an honest Delvaux review. They're often compared to Hermès so I wanted to take a closer look at the brand and a couple of their most iconic styles the Delvaux Brilliant and Tempete and see if the comparison is valid. As well as review the quality, sizes, prices and styles to see if they're worth it or not.
I'm also sharing my tips for choosing the right style and leather for you, whether to have them personalized or not and where to buy them new and pre-loved.

Just a friendly tip about the name of the buckle-front bag… It’s actually “Brillant” (bree-an), not Brilliant. The SA’s in boutique are always lovely, but they will gently correct you😊

Sorry unfortunately I’m not sure. When I asked Delvaux they just said: “The Tempete with Golden Trim is an older style that’s no longer available, it was limited edition from past season prior pandemic. Unfortunately it’s not available in any location worldwide.”

hello, I watched your video, you are very pretty and your bag is beautiful 😊 … Unfortunately I don't speak English, I couldn't understand the leather on the bag, I intend to buy a Delvaux with this leather, I like bags with structured and resistant leather like Prada Saffiano leather! Does this skin on your bag fit my description?

Thank you so much! The Brilliant comes in a few different leather options but the grained calfskin is the most similar to Prada Saffiano leather.

@@Rickrothsffeld the Rodeo has a similar grained texture but is a more supple leather. For more rigid, go for box calf.

I hadn’t seen it either and couldn’t find it anywhere. She said she didn’t know, it was a gift from her husband, she thinks from Barney’s. Sorry to not be of more help. I’ll reach out to Delvaux directly and let you know what they say.

I reached out to Delvaux and they said "Hope this message find you well and you had a lovely weekend. We just got your request from customer service. The Tempete with Golden Trim is older style that no longer available, it was limited edition from past season prior pandemic. Unfortunately it’s not available in any location worldwide. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with."

Bonjour de la Belgique 🇧🇪, félicitations pour votre magnifique sac Delvaux Tempête ❤️, je suis Delvaux Brillant depuis les années 1970 ❤️ mes deux derniers Brillants MM , Galeries de la Reine à Bruxelles, au premier déconfinement en 2020, et pas encore servi, trop beau 😜😂, mais je pense m’offrir un Tempête aussi 😜❤️, bien à vous 🤗

I can see where you're coming from. Lots of brands have very similar top handle bags. These are a great luxury brand option at a lower price point than Hermes.
