I scrapped the goals in my planner for these: actually cleanse your scalp this month (with shampoo).... remember to change out of pjs before work (into nicer pjs) .... stop asking Max (my cat) for advice he can’t talk back to you. 🤷🏾‍♀️ it’s a good start 😂😭

Same I wanted to step up my wardrobe and get in the gym but the way this pandemic is set up and businesses are closing left and right and unemployment on the horizon for so many and relief benefits being cut out of that unemployment...I may have to stick to the jeans and graphic Tees I’m used to until this all blows over.

At least your tree is inside. One house in my neighborhood still has the carcass of a tattered ass wreath on the door that's been there since November. It's already the second half of the year, might as well just leave the tree up now. It'll be August in a minute, then Labor Day, then Halloween, then time to put the thing up again.

I cut my losses in April and started to look at my wins: I did not loose my job, my parents are still healthy and did not loose their jobs. I can sleep more and my mind is free to roam, because I have an empty schedule 😂. I have my faith and I trust in my Creator. I will turn 34 and boy my life looks the same like 29 (no hubby, not even a date, no kids) , but so does my face so it's 🆗☺️

2020 was the one year I actually got to accomplishing my goals 😂 I got the job and salary I wanted, I finally got braces, will be getting a new car, and because I’m working from home I can save to buy a home next year. I am so grateful for the position I landed in this year despite everything that’s been going on. To God be the glory🙏🏾

ME TOO! My (now ex) fiance dumped me in the middle of quarantine, I was supposed to be moved to Europe (he's French) and married by now, and working in a better job that I can actually grow in. I just looked at my 2020 goals list and the fact that one was legit "stop isolating" lmao the universe had other plans. Now one thing I am proud of is that I paid off my credit debt last week! Now that was technically a 2019 goal that got pushed back 💀💀💀 but chile we here! I also wanted to get back into art and reading, I bought the supplies but still nothing, but I did finish 1 book (which is more than last year 😭😭). Finally got a stationary bike, cuz I've not been moving lmao ( i was breathing a little too hard going up stairs) - I've actually been able to stick to a schedule these past weeks! It only took until turning 25, but we did it!

As a unit, my older sister and I, we decided the mantra this year was going to be "AS IS" About accepting things as they are. It was also built on " I'm not going back and forth with people" which served us well in 2019. It was also kind of related to our interactions with our mom who was going through a long term illness and was basically bedridden. She died about a month ago. But AS IS has been predictive (I don't think that's a word but) of the kind of attitude to take about all this, Shit show that it is. I also said I was going to stop being "old and washed" and go out more, so there's that too. But with the online classes seeing my kids has kind of reenergized me. I'm very focused on working from home and trying to hone these online experiences for the students I teach.

My best friend has started a business, taught two online classes, taken three classes online, gotten her license to grow cannabis, and she is on her way to moving to a different state.... All while I have lost a car in an accident, and held on to a job that doesn't want me but desperately needs me🤦🏾I will not be hard on myself though! I have a couple of business ideas I am working on that I am hopeful about. Hey!! I am still here!! I appreciate that!!

actually this weird UNPRECEDENTED situation pushed me into a place I havent been before and shifted my thinking. It took some time but I started really progressing in my personal goals (fixing my relationship with food, taking care of my health, learning spanish, being more organized, learning from people around me, letting things work because thats the only way they will, if i let them). hadnt it been for the pandemic i wouldn't have ended up with the people i am with now, and they are one of the best things that have ever happened to me. i got incredibly lucky during this time and i'm crazy grateful for that.

It dawned on me that... Girl! You've been working full-time, going to school, hustling on the side for hella years. It's ok to sit down; Take a minute and appreciate how far you've come and relax into who you currently are and who you want to become. This "Covid-break" is an opportunity to reinvigorate who we are. Whether its by being 'lazy' and nurturing or by being extremely productive or just by enjoying nature and our loved ones. Love the video... We will continue to strive!

My dry erase calendar has an inspirational quote and just says "Life is like a bicycle, to stay balanced, you have to keep moving forward" That's all I use the calendar for. To help me stay sane (a little). Lol

Here are a few of the goals I added to my vision board in January that have since been cancelled: -travel to Australia -visit friends who live far away from me in different states -hang out more frequently with local friends I haven't seen in a while -go to one museum per month Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
