Reggie D. Probably so but I sure took advantage of it while it lasted. The club's was my second home during the 80's especially. I can remember going to clubs at midnight and not leaving till 6 or 7:00 am. Just crazy fun. Miss those days.

Same here same age 53. If you can't feel this, one must travel back in time, when things were thing affordable, and before there was were homeless families on the street, a time before we as a people as a nation lost our innocence. You have to have lived in this ERA to truly enjoy. Because if you were we witness the beginning of this technical era. Because back then I didn't listen to music felt it!

Didn't matter, MTV wasn't going to play Evelyn's music, not a black Funk artist. Michael Jackson's record label had to extort MTV, to play more black artists. BET was out a full year before MTV, so that's where she would have got her video played. Or maybe a television promo spot. But not MTV. @@AEMoreira81

I was in the grocery store today standing in line and this song all of a sudden came on the overhead speakers and I shouted like a teenage girl "that's my jam right there". The man behind me starting doing the robot dance so I took the woman's hands that was in front of me and we started dancing right there, the cashier let out a "wooooooo". Life was perfect..... even though it was just a short time.... for a few minutes.... it was perfect.

I saw her perform at the Hatchsell in Boston around early 2000. She must've been at least in her 40's & was doing high kicks & twirling around in 4 -inch heels! She invited several ppl on stage for a dance off & smoked them all & they were half her age. She ain't playin' around! Springfield, Massachusetts finest! ❤️
