The woke are great at speaking for people but not listening to people. Was on lame RPG site which was an echo chamber. Remember a year or so back when people were saying Acolshyte was not a "real" show because they had done a tiny amount of filming and that it was more likely a pilot or promo? Now we know why that was being reported, because this show just reuses old episodes as new episodes.

I am fascinated with the timing of "honesty" aligning with similar admissions coming about how they suddenly realized that our president may not be as well written as they had claimed. Honesty from dishonest people is never honest. Let's look at what happened. They hired a show runner who was in no way qualified to run something of this budget and then they let her tell the story in a very tricky non-linear way that easily goes wrong because people don't like that unless it is very well done. Don't make the mistake of attributing to incompetence that which can be attributed to evil. I look and see that it appears Leslye Headland actually tried but was thrown under the bus to begin with. She deserves every bit of scorn that could possibly be thrown at her for everything she has done, but I think that, in her hubris, she actually thought she could make a great show and I give her credit for the good things she did mange to give it.

Grace still defends episodes 1-6, so she really hasn't changed her tune. Episode was simply so bad that eve she couldn't be okay with it.

Contrary to Alyssa Mercante's claim, episode 7 doesn't "show the dangers of a Jedi's hubris." It shows the dangers of uncontrolled emotionalism and of putting your desires (like the desire to go home or the desire for a certain padawan) ahead of duty and rationality. The Jedi counsel made the right call to leave the witches alone, but mentally unstable Torbin and bizarrely obsessed Sol went against orders given to them as Jedi, and, acting as unhinged individuals, not as Jedi, went after the girls in a stunning act of irrationality that sparked a confrontation that resulted in wholesale death and destruction. It presents a powerful case for why people need to control their emotions and desires rather than letting their emotions and desires control them. his is contrary to what the show meant to say, but that just demonstrates how incompetent the writing is.

Episode 7 was truly awful, but it does make me curious (if only morbidly so) how they'll try to make it make some kind of twisted sense in the season finale.

1- why do people care what Grace (or Elyssa Mercante) say? 2- did Grace say she doesn’t like the show now? Maybe she was referring to the events in the show or the fate of characters. If she did pull a 180 it’s only because she was losing subs fast.

One thing I hate about all this is that it's not wrong how The Jedi are being portrayed. It's just not done well. Palpatine was a huge part of it. But to say The Jedi didn't cause many of their own schisms is just stupid and in fact ignoring what George Lucas was heading into for the next trilogy. The Sith are not always pure evil and The Jedi are not always for the good. That's a lore fact.

The farce is strong in this one. I've seen a sneak peek of Ep.08. Trinity uses the matrix to kill all men in the starwars universe using an army of invincible lesbian witches. My Bothan spies have also revealed that Season 2 of The Acolyte is a trilogy of full length feature films. Film 1: The Farce Awakens, Film 2: Order 69 The Phantom Climax, Film 3: Return of the Lesbian Witches. This is going to be more must see entertainment.

It's really weird how these individuals who express their disinterest in Star Wars & Lack of genuine understanding of the source material, are who is getting hired for all of these jobs related to this project? Having the crew consist of mostly disinterested people ends up creating this weird sort of tunnel visioned effect on to the project as a whole.. We all know what a passion project is. This feels as if it's a "passionate to disregard it so you can create your own" from the inside kind of project, if you know what I mean. They are so oblivious to how much they don't understand when it comes to Star Wars (and quality storytelling/ character building & world building as a whole) Yet they act like They deserve these positions. Out of all people, these are the people they want to be who is creating more Star Wars content..? It's ridiculous.. I don't understand how things have gotten so bad that no one can step in and fire all these inadequate people.. The world needs people to come in and bring in truly passionate and gifted individuals artist's, actors, writers, set designers, sound design, you name it, the world needs a shift towards improvement.. Things have looked bleak for far too long. Bringing in selfless, talented and passionate people is the only way we can get ourselves out of this deep depressed hole we've been stuck in. It's a natural response if all we see is these soulless detached narcissistic individuals are in charge of all of these different projects. It's awful, it's fake and it's forced. It's not that they don't grasp Star Wars. It's because they don't understand the entire creative process as a whole.. There's genuinely talented people out there who haven't gotten a chance to work on projects such as this and I really think it's time that these people get the opportunity to work in these roles all across Hollywood. Random Honest question: When it comes to the Acolyte, What is so SPECIAL about Osha and Mea for them to be the Main focus, the Main characters, etc. She has ZERO personality, 0 depth, 0 intricate aspects to her character.. Yet we are supposed to believe All off this is occurring around the twins as the main focus...? She has the personality of a cardboard box. There's so many things that are very wrong with this sad attempt at telling their star wars story.. There's a big issue tho, None of what they have made actually portraits accurate star wars, accurate jedi, etc. etc. How did this cost $180 million..? It seriously does not make any sense

This show isn't awful; it's a good show. Episode 7 is a bit redundant or unnecessary, but the action more than makes up for it. The action is fantastic; it features some of the best hand-to-hand combat and lightsaber duels that have ever been featured in _Star Wars._ The mysteries surrounding Osha and Mae's pasts, as well as Mae's master are intriguing (although their revelations are telegraphed after they are introduced), and the acting is pretty good. The only reason that this show is being so harshly criticized is that it's supposedly woke due to heavily featuring female characters.
