27 years ago, architect Yoshiro Yosuke bought the land and designed it himself. The original house was demolished and the three-storey house was built.
It is her idea to make the building a part of nature, so the building uses a lot of natural materials - stucco, bamboo curtains, wood, etc., and the small yard is full of plants. The first floor is the architectural office of Yoko, the second floor is the Hajime gallery gallery and cafe, and the third floor is the residence of Yoko.
In the past ten years, there have been about ten exhibitions held each year. Most of the works on display are daily objects. There are handicraft writers, pottery artists, lacquer wares, glass craftsmen, leather craftsmen, wood craftsmen, textile craftsmen. Yoko chooses the right person based on his own feelings and the feelings he actually uses, as well as his observations on the author's heart. Mr. Ishihara Yuki, a pottery artist who is very much appreciated by Yoko, has held four exhibitions here.
