My third time watching this session of Evening Hymns. So many good memories. Growing up "We've A Story To Tell To The Nations" was our summer VBS song. All the kids lined up outside the church and marched in the church and down the center aisle (littles in front to older ones in back) singing this song every day. Money raised from VBS offering went to support missions and this was our theme song. Till the Storm Passes Over is my mom's favorite. Over 20 years ago she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to go to Milwaukee (about 2.5 hours away) for surgery. My brother's family made a tape of their family (8 kids) singing this song accapella. She played it over and over during her recovery. They also came to the hospital to visit and sang it there. The staff crowded around outside the door to listen to them sing it. Her theme song. Then "Jesus Is Coming Soon" takes me back to my days in Youth Group at church. That was when it was popular, so I was surprised to look it up and see it was written in 1942...however...It was awarded the title "Song of the Year" in 1969 at the 1st GMA Dove Awards. I would've been in 8th grade. Our church youth had a singing group called, "His Witnesses" and this was one of the songs we sang. More memories. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. I love piano music. Took 6 years of lessons, but somewhere between my brain and fingertips - a connection is missing and I never got very proficient at playing. :-( I would like it if one day you could play "Day By Day" (and with each passing moment). An old Swedish hymn my Swedish grandmother used to sing to me. I love it and the message of comfort.

"I won't play a lie". That struck me as in "I won't live a lie". Be true to Jesus and focus on the cross.
