Sprint to 1/2 way point then go broken on almost every 5 yards in order to launch forward.

Yeah, totally uses momentum of the throw forward to gain distance. I think to combat this they should limit resets to 3??

I agree. I noticed when a couple of tge otger guys had to stop they took a few steps backwards then restarted. He was definitely gaining more distance each time he started again. Its probably why he stopped so many times!

They need to adjust the rules IMO. He would launch himself forward like a sprint every time he restarted. It takes much more skill to do what Matt did and he still barely won.

@@ammarabdo6585 the doping greatly attenuated the difference (women men==> naturally man has 5 to 20 times more testo => with the doping it is completely different) it was obvious yesterday women of 58kg shoulder lift 157 mat fraser 88kg (5x winner games) lift 200 the women winner deadlift 425 (knowing that 425 for a women of 130 of body is similar to 700 at a men of 190 of body) ==> mat fraser dealift a 535 only the second 412 but the 3rd 335 only it is already impossible such a difference

I hate how much credit the announcers are giving the guy who fell down like 15 times in the race but came in like third. "Wow he doesnt even look tired!" Yeah its because doing a handstand sprint without falling is a lot harder... why the hell dont they give the things that take effort credit?

I wish that they kept the original standard for the handstand walk so a certain mullet clad rookie couldn’t exploit it. It defeats the whole concept of the workout and challenge, not to mention each 5 yards he kicked up again he would gain another foot. 🤷‍♀️

The official call was that their feet have to be behind the line when the kick up. I liked the old rule better when your hands had to start behind the line

How do the judges know she left her lane, apart from when she travelled between the lane markers that were at 20 meter intervals there is nothing to show lane limits. She did seem to slightly touch one of the markers with her hand, but would that merit a DQ?

Basically, Castro programmed this lame old workout” if you can call it that “, cuz he knows this is a major weakness in Tias’ workout. I think he was hoping it was also a weakness for Mat but, NOPE!. One way he can think of scheduling a workout that allows someone else to win. Tia 9/12 - Mat 10/12 events won. Better luck next year, Dave.

You won’t get an intense injury from bad form, not over a short area, the worst that would happen is a sprain and they would have worked with a medical team at the side. I’m sure they’re more well versed in the injury side than a commenter on KZfaq.

Disappointing that handstand anything is still in CrossFit. Basically nobody at my box can do anything handstand and everyone just skips it when it comes up.

@@alexavila5567 It is now, but should be removed. Before Covid I traveled the world and went to CrossFit boxes everywhere...literally nobody is doing handstand walking or pushups. I love CrossFit, but the actions of people tell you what they believe. Now that there is a new leader, hopefully he’s listening.
