Dimash did win an award for this song. For me I could feel the heartbreak of the woman who was deported. As she was born in China, it was her home country.

I dun care if he win or not any competition....he win every one heart...like sunlight on the early morning. But still some people didn't wake up early. And still those woke up early won't when out to feel the light. Dimash is not a sun but for sure he is a light.

I was with you every step of the way. When I first saw a video of this song, my heart was just bursting. As soon as I saw that young lady with tears on her cheeks, I lost it. It was like she gave me permission to cry - this song moves me so much. I do not understand the language, but it doesn't matter. Later on, when I read the background of this song (how it was written and the beautiful woman it was written about), it did not take away anything of how I feel listening to Dimash's interpretation and expression of this beautiful song. I actually feel that it isn't relevant that he didn't win this competition. He achieved the maximum benefit you can achieve from participating in an event of this type. When you have talent of this magnitude, all you need is to be seen. He was able to perform in every episode and get maximum exposure from his participation. He became a sensation, got a recording contract, and toured. Win or lose, this was a big step in introducing him to the world. I, for one, am very grateful.

My favorite song and performance by Dimash It's not that he doesn't have other impressive performances out there. He does. He has so many that its unbelievably mind blowing. Yes he's pretty near perfect if not totally perfect. I certainly can't find a single flaw. But what's more is that he gives these flawless performances over and over and over again with every song. Moreover, every song is completely different and every song shows some new talent or skill or ability that Dimash has. It's incredible. But Autumn Strong is something special. It has made me cry so many times. And, it's not the lyrics and it's not the back story. It's purely his emotions with which he performs the song. It's the tone of his voice, the phasing, the changes in dynamics, the vocal cries, his eyes and hand movements his body language and his facial expressions The way he switches between low and high, breathy and full on strong vocals. To me it doesn't sound like different people singing or different voices. To me, it's different emotions. Like when your upset and you can go from sad quiet tears to desperate and pleading anguish. I love this performance! And he has many others that have brought me to tears as well. Just as you say, watching Dimash is like taking a Maser Class. There is so much to learn from him. And also, so much to experience!

I found you thru Dimash and I have to say your reactions are fabulous. Your singing is beautiful too. Dimash is in a class of one no others even come close. I agree with your comment about his voice being Gods voice. In my opinion, as a Christian, I do not find it blasphemous at all. We are all instruments of God created to spread his message of faith, love and unity. God speaks through us all but with Dimash He just chose to spread that message through Dimash's angelic singing. Again my opinion. No hate comments please from non-believers as I respect your right to believe or not believe as you choose. There was a judge at the competition who felt Dimash yells or screams too much saying " it's a singing competition not a screaming competition ". Dimash feels every emotion of every song to the core of his being. The music literally becomes a part of him becomes a part of his DNA. That combined with the unbelievable power his voice has can't be contained. It like a nuclear explosion. Yes, he has complete mastery over his voice and could sing everything in a whisper but as an artist and a human being he needs to be able to express those emotions in his own way. In addition as an opera singer he was trained to project his voice. I think he could actually perform a concert in a huge arena without the need of a microphone that's how much vocal strength and power he has. He deserved 1st place but Dimash doesn't care about rankings he only cares that the audience is happy with his performance.

The mirroring filter that you used this time was perfect for Dimash, I think, because with him it's all about contrasts. Intense vs light, airy. Powerful vs Soft. Fade in vs Fade out. High vs Low. Rock vs Opera vs Pop (in the same song). Male vs Female. He not only has incredible dynamics, he knows how to perfectly use them to create contrast, emotion and to carry the message regardless of whether you speak that language. It took him a week and one day to learn the language and when he sang it it was about a girl that left Japan in 1942 into China. I believe she did radio she was well-known when she left because of the war something happened in China and people that knew her turned against her and China kicked her out and told her to go back to Japan. The man who sung the song was in love with her and he made this song for her she was still alive when she heard dimash sing it. I don't know much of the story but I believe the audience understood the song.
