8 Minutes in I already knew I wanted this game, very excited to purchase this.

I just watched this last night, with my first gameplay today of Everdell. I've watched around 5 youtubes, this one was so cool because it is original edition. Plus, it was very helpful. Nice job!

Ok, now it makes sense. 😓 I was a KS pledger of the collector’s edition and I can’t figure out why the gameplay was 1h, because in our first gameplay we moved the workers from one spot to another 😰. Instead, once a worker is deployed, it stays there until the switch of the next season. Congrats for the marvellous boardgame, can’t wait the expansion in september!

Can't believe no one grabbed the crane. Super useful. Also player two should have used the inn to play the mine and then the miner mole for getting berries, IMO. And the tower could have negated the cost for the wanderer. I've got the game at home so pretty fun to see a demo version of it! Great artistry and great game play! I really like this game and it came out great. I can't believe how many expansions there are (and how much they all cost!). Great product. I may have to get an expansion at some point but just got this for Christmas and have played two player a good number of times and solo a bunch too.

So in the rulebook it says "Always draw cards from the deck,unless told to draw from the meadow" Im really confused on when you can take a meadow card

Wow, look at this in its early stages! James, would you be willing to answer a game mechanic question? Last night, I had a full hand of 8 cards and my greens triggered, one of which was the Teacher. Do I complete its action because I have to or can I ever opt to skip a card's feature? If I had drawn 2, I would've discarded the one I couldn't hold and given the other to my opponent. Same goes for the Historian, I guess. Do I *have to* pick a card up every time I build something? Sometimes, it's advantageous not to. I'm absolutely addicted to this beautiful game. Thank you for conjuring it up.

can you do a solo playthrough? i like the game but stikl wondering if it is worth just for solo

Has there been any thought to adding a player board for the "building" of the city?

I might have missed it but why are you playing cards in front of the board and on the side....to see them easier?

Player 2 plays like I would, discarding his Bard to the Dungeon before grabbing the Event.. 🤣

This game looks beautiful. Although I suppose it can be challenging the first few rounds due to how much reading it requires for each card and that can be troublesome when you play with new people. I liked the "Fool" mechanic, are there more cards that allow you to interact with your opponent's city?

The only things that feels weird about the game is how different players can be in different seasons. Very charming game though.

At around 34:00, should you have gotten a berry based the bonus of the last card you put in your city?

Not sure, but doesn't the Tower combo with the Wanderer, meaning the Wanderer could have been played for free (saving player 1 the two berries - at 16:27)?

Hi Starling Games, i received the kickstarter Pearlbrook expansion and it had 2 copies of the Judge card from the base game in the box. Is this a mistake or is it included to balance the base game? it was a bit weird seeing them included in this expansion. They are also not mentioned in the rulebook. Could you please clarify? Thank you.

Rules don't specify that I can see, but do you still get points from the characters in a Dungeon? I can see that a player plays a fool, and the player that has the fool then just throws him into the dungeon. "Thanks for the free fodder!" Also, are characters in the dungeon part of the city-limit? Thanks!

Just a little confused. When player 2 played the bard he discarded 5 cards. Then bard went into the dungeon. At 27mins or so you said that player 2 messed up because he didn't get to use the bard. How could he use him again?

Looks like a great game. Question: I heard there were going to be a limited amount of copies at Essen 2018. I heard there were going to be only 75 copies of the game for sale there. Is it true? Any information about it will be apreciated.

Thank you for the playthrough. We tried playing based on the rule book and watching several videos but your explanation is more detailed. The rule book is beautiful but really, it sucks. It leaves so much out it's almost impossible to figure it out using just the book.

Is the card art final? Wondering why the majority is black and white. Will it be black and white in the final game?

I have a question, when player 1 played the bard, Why didn't the innkeeper activate? giving him one berry?

Really confused with James' actions throughout the game. 5:01 James states that a card is revealed whenever a card is taken. But at 18:00 he picks up the Dungeon, without revealing another card, and then the Crane. He then reveals two cards. Is white unable to choose the revealed card directly after picking up the Dungeon? There are what seems to be prerequisites like in 7 Wonders on certain cards. Wanderer had Tower on it. I assume since orange had a Tower that Wanderer could have been free? 22:44 The bard better watch out. I dont think he has a choice in your dictatorship. Poor bard. :(

Around 30:55, you play the postal pigeon into your city for free (as an occupant of the post office). You then draw two cards, the university and then the tower, and then choose the university to play for free into your city. After this, you fill the meadow spot that was left vacant by the postal pigeon with a card from the deck. But, according to the rules, shouldn't the vacant spot have been filled first (with the university) before you drew the two cards after playing the postal pigeon? I'm trying to understand the timing of cards, and how they're played, and the rules seem to indicate that the meadow is always immediately re-filled after a card is played from the meadow.

Super boring game. Low replay value too. Had a lot of potential. Too bad.
