We did the EBC trek in June which is outside the busy season. Pro's and Con's of doing it this time of year but here it is for a glimpse into the trip. It's not a super informative video but more about giving a sense of the adventure itself. If you want to know more about the gear used and about the trip, leave a comment! We used Alpine Ramble Treks and our guide's name was Tilak. Tilak and the guide company were great and I would definitely recommend them! And Shout out to Travis for making this trip happen!

Hey guys, I was there last July to celebrate my 60th birthday at Basecamp. Your video brought back memories, it’s just so damnd beautiful up there. Somehow I think everybody’s contemplating to return to Basecamp after such an incredible experience but reality might be a different one. still, we keep those fantasies alive.

Great video! I’m heading out to Nepal, in October. Trying to make up my mind as to whether I want to trek out to EBC or get out to the Upper Mustang Valley. I know I’ll definitely want to come back and see what I wasn’t able to, on the first trip. How much was your guide to EBC?
@magnificenthimalayantreks
@magnificenthimalayantreks 11 ай бұрын
That sounds like an exciting adventure! Choosing between the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek and the Upper Mustang Valley can be tough, as both offer unique experiences in Nepal. The cost of a guide for EBC averages around $25 to $30 USD. The Upper Mustang Valley trek has a similar price range but the permit for 10 days is $500. Consider your preferences for scenery and cultural exploration when deciding. Enjoy your trip and happy trekking!

Since I'm going to do the EBC trek in October this year, I was really relieved to see how some fellow Coloradoans handled the altitude. You guys didn't seem to experience any altitude sickness or related problems. I've been to the top of eleven 14ers and other than mild headaches, I don't have a problem with it. If you did have some issues, let me know. Thanks!

Nice! Typically my first sign of altitude sickness is lack of appetite which I did start to have around 16k-17k'. So I did start to feel the altitude but it wasn't bad outside of just the thin air! It's noticeably different from 14k'.
